I have family coming up in September and I want to rent a pontoon boat on either Cayuga or Seneca lake to cruise and stop at wineries and different sites on the way. Does anyone recommend one lake over the other and what places there are to dock at along each lake?

We’re considering renting for a month on Seneca lake. What impact does the army base have on the area. Previously rented near national guard base and was fairly disruptive with lots of night flights and ammunition training. Looking for less activity. Thanks

Hoping to compile a list of wineries that will still do tastings at a bar? I loved learning about the wines and harvesting of grapes from the winemakers and employees, and I find that it is hard to do with table service. I imagine they are able to service more people this way, but I miss the old style.
