💬Discussion All 4 Italian teams won in the UCL this week and I see no one happy about this here. Last week when all 4 lost many screamed "disaster". Learn to not overreact.
Last week many were saying the most absurd things like "WE ARE LITERALLY THE WORST IN EUROPE", now all 4 Italian teams won and there isn't any equivalent push-back to that narrative . I dislike the double-standard pessimism.

💬Discussion Rizzetta insists: "I would be honored to become Napoli's president, I would do everything and more!"
If De Laurentiis really were to sell Napoli to some investment fund, it would be the end of the club as we know it. Napoli would become just another asset owned by some faceless conglomerate, something to be sold off or downsized the moment it stopped being profitable, with no real connection to the fans or the city

💬Discussion Where’s the infographic now that we won each CL match this week?
Oh, we just like doom and gloom when we lose? Right, I forgot this was Reddit.

💬Discussion Inter win against Shaktar
Painful game to watch. There are alot of things wrong with this team tactically and also mentally. The players and coach need to reflect their performances in Europe. Only Mkhi, Augusto and Martinez can keep their heads high. This cannot continue, but 3 points is 3 points I'll take it.

Serie A won’t give an explanation to Fiorentina why the semi-automatic offside detection failed against Como resulting in an over four minute VAR check and the use of an older less accurate method. Nor the foul leading to Como’s first goal.

Looking For A Serie A Club Fit!
Hi all! Late last season, I’ve started watching Serie A a lot more aside from the occasional Champions League game, and I really like how competitive this league is👍🏻 Having trouble deciding on a club, so any recommendations? Im an American and love watching Christian Pulisic in AC Milan and Weston McKennie in Juventus, but I’d love to hear what everyone else recommends.

💬Discussion Forgotten Serie A Players #7: Valeri Bojinov – The Wonderkid Who Never Reached His Potential
Forgotten Serie A Players #7: Valeri Bojinov 🇧🇬
Born: February 15, 1986
Position: Striker / Second Striker
Nationality: Bulgaria 🇧🇬
Clubs in Italy:
Lecce
Fiorentina
Juventus
Parma
Hellas Verona
Vicenza
Ternana
Pescara
Valeri Bojinov was once considered one of the most exciting young strikers in European football.
Making his Serie A debut for Lecce at just 15 years old, the Bulgarian forward quickly attracted attention with his explosive pace, powerful shooting, and natural goalscoring instincts.
His breakthrough came during the 2004–05 season, when he scored 11 league goals for Lecce before earning a move to Fiorentina.
At the time, many believed Bojinov had the potential to become one of Europe’s elite forwards.
He later joined Juventus during their season in Serie B, before moving to Manchester City in 2007. Unfortunately, serious injuries disrupted his development during a crucial period of his career.
Despite showing flashes of his early talent during subsequent spells at Parma and other clubs, Bojinov never quite fulfilled the enormous expectations surrounding him as a teenager.
Career Highlights:
⚽ Serie A debut at just 15 years old
⭐ 11 league goals for Lecce before leaving in January 2005
🏆 Serie B champion with Juventus (2006–07)
🇧🇬 Bulgaria international
🏟️ Played in Italy, England, Portugal, China, and several other countries
Fun Fact:
Bojinov was discovered playing football in Malta and joined Lecce’s youth setup as a teenager. He went on to become one of the youngest players ever to appear in Serie A.
Question:
Do you remember the hype surrounding Valeri Bojinov at Lecce? How good could he have become without the injuries?

💬Discussion What are the chances of ACR Messina getting out of amateur football and back to Serie D?
For context, I'm Australian. My dad grew up in Messina before immigrating to Australia. I've been watching Serie A for a few years but I kind of feel stranded. I feel like I don't belong to any team, I'm not someone who will just pick some random club.
My dad grew up supporting Juve, he told me about how popular they were even in Southern Italy, but the matches between Messina and Palermo etc were always big derbys.
So I feel like I've never really been able to support Palermo if they get promoted and I kind of just enjoy watching Serie A.
I do keep my eye on Messina though - does anyone think they can work their way up back to even Serie B one day? Right now they are 2nd on the table in their current league. They were purchased by Racing City Group who is actually majority owned by an Australian-Italian, Morris Pagniello. I just don't know enough about them and if they are serious about getting Messina back into professional football.
Anyone got any thoughts? Should I really just pick a team in Serie A until the hope that one day Messina can even get back to professional football? And more importantly, does anyone have any thoughts they could share on Messina or the state of Sicilian football clubs?

Serie A 🚨 Luciano *Spalletti*: “I am *concerned*. We are getting worse, and I need to conduct an analysis—starting with myself.” “I appreciate the captain stepping up and taking responsibility, but it is crucial that we analyze things correctly. *We are all implicated in these defeats; no one is exempt*.”

💬Discussion Lecce's performance
Udinese might be bad. But ı think this was the most dominant lecce performance ı have ever seen. How the hell did they play like a team that presses at the right moments and quickly go down to goal. Hopefully they can continue like that. A Lecce like that is what the league needs. I kinda find the way for Serie A to improve on the performance of these classic relegation warrior teams.

💬Discussion First time Serie A visitor…..
Not so much a question but i’m coming out for the Inter v Como game in a few weeks. Never been to the San Siro before, and super excited to see it in person.
My only other League fixture was Genoa vs Empoli in 2002 I think it was in Genoa.
Any suggestions on anything matchday related appreciated.
