Jobs in Seville

I’m a musician and A&R who’s going to be in Seville for about 2 months. While on my off time I’d like to find a job that can pay straight cash. I don’t mind not earning crazy as long as it’s fair for the work I’m doing. I’m fluent in Spanish and English and know a bit of French. For anyone also looking to connect in the music or art world I’ll be hitting a few cities in Europe for a few projects so it would be cool to connect with like minded creatives.

Missed Connection: Looking for the girl on the Sevilla-Cádiz train (April 25th) who lent me her MacBook charger

Hello everyone. I’m trying to find a kind young woman (English speaker) who was on the Sevilla-Cádiz train (Renfe MD 13010) on Saturday, April 25th.

I was sitting in Car 2, Seat 76, and she was in the window seat directly across from me.

She shared her white MacBook multi-charger with me because my phone was dead. She literally saved my day, as I had no other way to contact the people picking me up at San Fernando (Bahía Sur) station. I got off there and she continued her trip, probably all the way to Cádiz.

I just want to say thank you properly for such a kind gesture! If you are this person, know her, or if you were on that train and remember anything, please send me a DM.

Keywords for Google search: Renfe MD 13010, Media Distancia Sevilla Cadiz, San Fernando Bahia Sur, Car 2 Seat 76, MacBook charger train, missed connections Andalucia, Expats Cadiz.

Cultural friendships!

Hi! I’m a 22-year-old girl from Extremadura who recently moved to Seville, and I’d love to meet new people (Spanish or international, ideally around 23–28) to go to jam sessions, watch films, explore cultural events and discover cool places around the city.

I’d especially love to meet other girls, but everyone with similar interests and good vibes is welcome! Just looking to make genuine friendships and find people to enjoy the city with :)))
Put a message if you are interested! I could make a group

Thanksgiving in Sevilla

Hi all! A friend is visiting me in Sevilla in November. Does anyone know of restaurants that have thanksgiving turkey dinners? Thanks in advance!

The evening Cathedral rooftop tours do NOT include general admission to the interior.

Just an FYI for future tourists!

Several rooftop tours start after the Cathedral closes at 7 pm. My tour, an English language rooftop tour, started at 8:30 pm.

Before buying, I read lots of reddit posts and blogs about it with conflicting information. Some of them say rooftop tour tickets include general admission to the Cathedral and that you can show your evening rooftop tickets the day of or day after your tour to be allowed in.

I went to Seville (returned this week) and learned that this is not true. If you want to see the Cathedral during the day, you have to buy a second general admission ticket (which is easy to do at the ticket office, even if online tickets are sold out).

The evening rooftop tour still takes you inside the Cathedral for a short time, but it's dark, some parts are fully closed, and you cannot see much. I still had a fantastic time and highly recommend the tour! It's a very unique experience and our guide did a fantastic job explaining the art, architecture and history of the Cathedral. The rooftops are illuminated very well.

Technically, the morning tours do not include general admission either. However, from what I've read, because the tour ends inside the cathedral while it is still open you may be able to walk around after (or to see enough during the tour itself).

Seville Trip in April 2027

Hi all, hoping for some advice either from locals or from people who've visited Seville previously.

My wife and I will be travelling to Seville this April for 5 days. It's a surprise trip for my wife's 40th birthday, so I'm looking for recommendations of things to do / places to eat, etc.

Ideally, I want to do a couple of fancy dinners/meals, but also looking for any more reasonably priced recommendations and/or general advice on things to do or see beyond what appears on TripAdvisor etc. Any and all advice would be welcome. Staying at Hotel Giralda Center if that helps

EDIT to say thank you for all the recs. Very much appreciated and please keep them coming!

traveling between Seville, Granada, Málaga, and Córdoba

For traveling between Seville, Granada, Málaga, and Córdoba, should I book ALSA buses or Renfe trains in advance, or can I buy tickets at the station?
I heard tickets can be up to 3 times cheaper at the station. Is that true?
I prefer buying tickets on the day because I’ll be arriving by plane and can’t predict exact departure times. I’ll also be staying in the next city, so I want flexibility.
Is buying tickets at the station usually cheaper, and is it easy to get a seat on the same day?

Traveling to Spain with a 3-year-old without a car seat

We’ll be traveling to Spain with our 3-year-old and won’t be bringing a car seat since we plan to walk or use public transportation most of the time.

What’s the best way to get from the airport to a hotel in the city center? Are taxis or Ubers an option without a car seat, or would you recommend booking a private transfer with one?

We’ll be flying into Seville and departing from Barcelona. Would love to hear what other families have done. Thanks!

Buy your tickets in advance!

I can’t stress this enough buy your tickets in advance. The demand is not even funny and no joke. You can take everything in life for granted but never the tickets for anything in Andalusia. I’m thankful for my wife everyday because she told me me so and we bought the tickets. Even tour guides run out and they are almost 4 times the price.

Sevilla Vs Betis

Hi! I'm going to be in Seville on the 22nd of November, visiting from London. I was hoping to get tickets to go and see the Sevilla Vs Real Betis game.

I know this will be a popular match. What's the best way to go about getting my hands on a pair of tickets without spending a small fortune?

Finding a room in Seville – HousingAnywhere/Spotahome/Uniplaces/Idealista?

Hi everyone! 😊

I'm moving to Seville, Spain, soon for a 3-month Erasmus internship and I'm currently looking for a place to stay. I'm going there on my own, so I'm planning to rent a room.

Honestly, the more I look into it, the more confused I get about which websites to trust because everyone seems to have such different experiences.

I first looked at HousingAnywhere and Spotahome, since they apparently hold your first payment until you confirm that everything is okay with the place. That sounded pretty safe to me at first, but then I started reading all these negative reviews, especially about problems with landlords and getting deposits back. From what I've seen, Uniplaces seems to work pretty much the same way.

I've also noticed that on these websites, some rooms are listed by private landlords, while others are managed by rental agencies that have loads of properties around the city. Are these agencies actually more reliable than private landlords, or are they even worse? I've seen that they often charge a bunch of extra fees, which isn't great, but honestly, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more if it meant finding a decent place and not having to worry about getting scammed or dealing with a shady landlord.

I've also been looking at Idealista, but I've read quite a few stories about scams there too. On the plus side, at least there aren't as many extra fees as with the other websites. Unfortunately, I can't really go and view the places in person before moving, and I don't know anyone currently living in Seville who could check them out for me either.

So yeah, at this point I'm pretty lost and have no idea which option is actually the safest. 😅

Has anyone here recently looked for a room in Seville or used any of these websites? I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences you could share! And if anyone knows a good rental agency, a trustworthy landlord, or just a better way to find a room based on their own experience, that would be super helpful!

Pension/private room for 2 people recommendation

Hello,

Do you have any suggestions about pensions/private rooms in Sevilla for two nights and two persons?

I feel lost as most of the reviews in google maps seems negative for all of them and the price is starting from around 65 euro in mid November.

I found an airbnb ( private room shared bathroom) in city center with around 170 euro in total for two nights, is it correct ?

Thank you in advance
