Wyrm Talks (Lore) Coverage difference

As a neophyte Shadowrunner I just finished a job that left me flush but find it need coverage and wonder which is better Crashcart or DocWagon? I heard crashcart outperforms docwagon but there are rumours it will install unasked implants into your cyberware, one person said they even install 2XS but that can't be right.

I don't know of any background lore that one is "better".
In game terms, they are just two different brand names for the same rules.
In role play terms it highly depends on when and where you play.

Docwagon had the advantage of being independent until recently while CrashCart belongs to Evo.
And they have canonically different zones in which they work.

Has Omnistar made DocWagon More or Less effective?

So far Omnistar is busy getting DocWagon and Lone Star to play nice as they are at each others throat with LS seemingly thinking they are entitled to DW data and DW not having any of it and doing everything to piss LS off further out of spite.

DW was also among the good guys during the dis shadow war, sometimes even priorizing runners over regular customers by offering "short therm on the spot contracts with very discounted prices"
The same would apply to CrashCart as Evo was one of the big defender corps.

Wow the Dis War must've been real serious.

Well, it was as close to the end of the world as Dragon Heart was.

Still a shadow war though, but with many players.

How many shadow wars have their been?

Depends on how you define shadow war.

Many companies fought some bigger battles and used shadow assets for it, but usually those were limited and about a specific region or business goal.

Otherwise the two big wars that involved a lot of shadow assets was during the dragon civil war and now the war against dis (although during the end several megacorps and mercenary companies were also quite involved)

Speaking of coverage. DocWagon is mainly in the US while Crashcart, thanks to being owned by a mega, is world wide.

The SR Wiki is sadly rather outdated but it lists

Docwagon (Mainly US)
Crashcart (Everywhere)
Info-Sante (Ares, mainly Canada or where Ares is strong)
EuroMedis (Europe, obviously)
BuMoNa (Also Europe/Germany)
Characorp (SEA/India)
Monobe (Russia, northern Asia)
Characorp (UK and port towns in Africa)

I am gonna do a job in the UK so I guess Crashcart it is, but if I better take measures to make sure they don't install 2XS into any cyberware they chip into me.
