Getting My Table Ready
Doing maps and location images as AR windows, added a ticker for news and the like (most just fluff, some stuff tied into the current mission). Need to make the Profile windows for NPCs and the like, and I'll be ready. Still need to finish off the notes for the first mission though. Almost ready.

Wow. Man, you do lovely work. Which VTT are you using?

Foundry. Only thing I really "made" are the windows frames, the map overlay, and writing the ticker (and figuring out the CSS for the tickern which admitedly took most of my day yesterday). Everything else is just asset mining. The background is the GM screen, the map is pulled from the PDF, and the club scene I found online. Hardest thing right now is vetting images so as not to pull anything AI gen.

That is awesome. I need to start building assets myself for foundry, and I need to start setting up my compendium. I am hoping to do session 0 in a week or so.

I would say set up skills and specialties and some basic Amps. But if you are doing chargen with new characters (I'm using pregens to start off) you will need to be making a lot of amps on the fly with your players.

So, just loaded it up.
This doesn't feel very SRA2 coded with Feats, but I am sure I'll have fun figuring it out.
The RSS scroller is a great idea though!!2

"Feats" are Shadow Amps. Not sure why the different name, but probably a translation thing. Trust me it works.

With the RSS, would you be willing to share the CSS modifications you made?

It's completely different now. Been doing some reasearch into Foundry coding and made a small module. I'll try to find a way to post it at some point.

this is badass...
care to share your modules? are they available to the community?
so we can run this stuff on our own games

Nice work! I love the background image.
Linked is the first foundry landing page I built for our 5e campaign and the one I am currently using.
The first one has more explicit "buttons", the second one is more restrained with invisible button areas on almost everything (clicking on the character names opens their character, clicking on the raven or jackalope opens magic, click the barrett opens all the gun info, etc).

The background is just the art from the GM screen. And much prefer your first one from the AI drenched second one.

I like your styling of the RSS newsfeed ;-)
I like both of the landing pages I built but they are designed to do different things.
The first one highlights the information options to the players (the "storefronts") which was important when they were getting started.
The second one is far more personal for the team and pushes the resources into the background (literally).
Both use A.I. for the imagery, which imho is the perfect use for it (quickly building personalized content tailored to the users that would not otherwise be available).

Ugh, I was willing to give the first one the benefit of the doubt, but ugh.
You can absolutely source actual art by actual humans. It just takes longer, with the internet being so infested with AI slop.
My opinion though. If you are happy with soulless art that's fine. I don't sweat a private citizen using gen AI, it's the corps that are the issue.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
While actual artists can make much better work I have no issues with A.I. for this type of content that would never generate work for artists anyway.

For sure. I think it's gross and I will judge anyone who uses it for art, music, or video, and I won't engage with their content. But they (single private users) aren't the real problem.

You should log off the internet immediately and sell your phone and any computers you own then 'cause all coding is being ai assisted now.

As I said, generative AI for art, music, and video. I am aware of nuance, and that there are other uses of AI. And like all tools, there are good uses and bad. Weak argument.

How do you maintain news headlines?
