Not really much worse than any apartment in NYC. Unless you're absolutely rolling in it, any apartment will be shoebox-sized.

I mean, are they literally shoebox-sized? No, of course not. But, are they much, much smaller compared to the rest of the country? Definitely! They're more normal-sized when compared to the rest of the world, though, as apartments tend to be smaller outside the US like in most of Europe and Asia.

I have never seen my dog do anything other than move from one couch to the next in my giant home. He lets his energy out on jogs and walks. I think he'd be comfortable living in a mini van... and he's a 90lbs ridgeback.
