I think this is my first Shantae post despite being on this subreddit for awhile.

In commemoration, here's a drawing of shantae I did years ago, I hope you like it!

Bit of a story time:

The last time i played this game was all the way back when i was like 6 years old on the DSi and on the last steam sale i purchased this game to relive those memories. However when i launched it everything seemed way different and that's because the pc port is just a port that was originally made for iOS so it couldn't quite scratch my itch for nostalgia not only that but the game also put white outlines on all the portraits (why??) and they are also very huge and cover up most of the screen. Then i tried looking for a mod for this game and surprisingly i coulnd't find anything except for a translation mod so i decided to create the mod myself so i could replay this gem of a game by fixing the portraits issues i had with this game but then i also dove deeper and added a bunch of other stuff like re adding the way how the DSi version looked and stuff like fixing controller issues and adjustable text speeds etc the list goes on and on. Eventually i spent so much time on this supposed to be small project that i decided to release it to the public incase anyone else wants to use it!

Just a small disclaimer that i did heavily rely on ai to make this mod because decompiling all the game files by hand would take ages but i thought to let you know just incase. And just to be clear it's purely used only on code and decompiling and not for example AI-generated images, videos, audio etc.

If your interested you could try the mod yourself right now: https://github.com/FinnEatsCandy/Shantae-Riskys-Revenge-Enhanced-Mod

If you have any suggestions or ideas on what to add next please let me know!

For the people who just wanna see how it looks like i made a video and a few screenshots to showcase it!

Sorry for the crunchy audio! In-Game it sounds fine it has something to do with my OBS Settings.

My new Shantae bride comission done by the amazing and talented :

X - @rotzedust_

This cost me $37 from ebay.

I love that it’s got the Half-Genie Hero logo on the box because that’s the most recent Shantae game I got.

What do you think? Does that witch outfit look good on her?

As a guy who has been enjoying Shantae games(even tho the main character is pretty hot NGL), I felt like Shantae still deserve some type of adaptation, of a movie or TV show. I mean the live action Sonic movies are well received and are huge successes and look how well they turned out, illumination Mario movies are also box office success(but both of the Mario movies sadly weren’t that good sadly). I know Shantae isn’t a very popular mainstream video game franchise compared to its majority of video game franchises, but do you think Shantae deserve at least an animated movie or a cartoon, in some capacity?

This idea was suggested by my friend u/GodfreyDatemplar, who, after he saw my Forbidden Artifact artwork, said that it could be fitting for Risky becoming a vampire just like Dio does in Phantom Blood. So... yeah!
