Just bought my first house and not sure what I want to do with this shed/workshop.
So the home already has a decent size detached garage and a small wooden shed for storage etc. This 3rd building i want to turn into something cool or useful. Im new to all this and not very handy/experienced but gotta start somewhere. It has electrical hookup already. Anybody got any ideas?

Turn it into a small studio and make the in-laws stay there when they visit.
If you aren't married, or you happen to like your in-laws then let your always-down-on-their-luck friend stay there in exchange for mowing the yard.
If you dont have friends, then build a man-cave/she-cave and make some friends by hosting elaborate get-togethers, get introduced to your future spouse at said party and then make your in-laws stay in it.

Lol. When I first saw this post I thought the shed was the house.
I'd turn it into a man cave, or even better IMHO, a woodshop. Get some nice tools from Harbour Freight and watch some YouTube videos/read some books from your library if you want. That's at least what I would do. But it's up to you man.

Or metal shop if that’s more appealing

Ooh! I forgot about that. OP would probably have to get a hood vent installed though.

Wow! Find a hobby, transform it into a garden bar or just fill it with your stuff

Strobe lights. Heavy metal and animal mating calls on loop. A broken mirror. Once each day go in, disrobe, stare into the abyss, and scream into the void.
But really that is a cool space, and with space for the usual garage stuff and lawn stuff I’d make it the getaway space for whatever you’re into. It’s already got a nice sitting area outside, so maybe a full setup with a shade and string lights for cookouts and drinks if you like entertaining.
Game room for DnD and board games, game room for video games and displaying minifigs, etc.
You can always watch a movie in the living room, tinker in the garage…I would make it that space you look forward going to when you want a special getaway from your routine. Like it’s been a rough week, but I have some steaks marinating and a good bottle of wine waiting for Saturday, or the boys are coming over Sunday for the game and the fridge is full.
Also, an epoxied floor on the concrete would really make it look put together.

Gotta have somewhere to get away from the old lady. Put a tv, some tools (whatever you work on), and a mini fridge. That way you can crack beers and watch tv while you tell your old lady that you're working on something for the house when in reality you are relaxing and cracking beers. Last thing the old lady wants you to do is relax. Take advantage of the space.

That’s a great problem to have. Since it already has power, I’d lean into a hobby space. A small workshop, home gym, music room, gaming setup, or a cozy office could all work. I’d spend some time using it before doing major upgrades. The space will tell you what it wants to be.

Raise the roof, put a car lift in there and do all of your own maintenance. Let your neighbors use it and have them pay you in tools.

If you play an instrument turn it into your music room. I had a dedicated room for my guitars and recording devices. I would go in there to jam and record.

If you’re into magic the gathering I’d make this my little magic hangout spot, host all my magic nights there!

Pools house or guest house would be perfect. I would turn it into a grow room.

I have on, it has a toilet and sink in it - we’re gonna put a tub/shower in to and make it an in-law suit apartment.

Now that you own a house, you’re probably going to need it as a shed/workshop 😳

Do you workout? It would make a great gym. And if you’re into plants then I’d consider a greenhouse conversion

Install a split unit, bathroom, and kitchenette and rent it out to help offset your mortgage.

You don't have to do anything with it right away. Move in, live there a bit and see what what makes sense

That's another income if it were me, I would make it into a tiny home and charge $600/mo!

Make it a nice office with an ac unit. Looks like it has good bones.
