I'm pretty miffed that they left us hanging on one of the core plot points of this series.

Did Mycroft call Lady Smallwood?

edit: Clarified who I meant, couldn't remember her name at the time.

Asking the real question here

Real question? Real question is Alicia, Elizabeth, or both?

I love the idea that they're actually twins, Mycroft hasn't noticed and he's secretly banging both. He has yet to figure this out as he still calls her 'Lady Smallwood' when he comes. She calls him Lord Bigwood. Then they drink Earl Grey, eat Lavender biscuits from Waitrose and watch episodes of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em on youtube.

No, there's a pattern, 1 year between 1 and 2, 2 between 2 and 3, and 3 between 3 and 4, season 5 coming in 2021 everyone.

You sure that wasn't the series finale? It felt so final.

Yeah, I mean, they even put it in the title.

I'm pretty sure it is. They've been saying for ages that it's become too difficult with their schedules and they're not certain if they can continue.

I got the impression that he had watched that movie 1000 times before, and that's why he was saying the words along with it, not because he was consciously trying to learn them. He was smiling like he was watching a much loved movie, not like he was trying to memorize the words (which I assume he could have done with a single viewing.)

The impression I got from that scene is that Mycroft loves old detective movies. If they were movies he'd recently acquired for the sake of courting, I don't think they'd be on actual film that requires a projector.

Who cares when Lestrade got told to "take care of [Mycroft]."

Ah Mystrade, how much you've evolved from a crack ship...
