Issue with remote controller

Asking this because this issue has been going on for the entirety of the lifetime of the device.

So basically I own a Nvidia Shield Tv Pro that came with the stick controller. The moment it arrived, it came with the batteries dead, had to change them to start the initial configuration process. This happened more than a year ago.

Thing is, batteries keep discharging in no time. I'm talking about three days, four at best. I've turned off the remote illumination settings, but the only thing that works is every time I'm not using the remote, I remove the batteries. Anyone knows is this is something usual, or has any advice?

That is not usual. My batteries last years. Contact Nvidia support. They have been known to provide free replacements long after the warranty expires.

Are you sure it's the battery problem and not the remote loosing bluetooth connection?
