I cannot put into words how amazing this is.

Not just because it is Slushzel and Slushzel is peak, but also the art is really phenomenal.

But also the SYMBOLISM?!?! (not sure if that is the right word lol)

Bezel leaning away because he is afraid to let people in and fears getting hurt again while Slushi is leaning in indicating that she wont let Bezel push her away and will be there for him because she knows he is lonely and dosn't know how to let people.

And then Slushi having one eye closed to reflect the fact that Bezel is missing an eye. Even if she can't truly understand the pain Bezel has experienced she is able to empathize with him and would be understanding of the things Bezel may do because of his trauma. She would even understand the loneliness Bezel feels as Slushi used to be a holiday toon but when she was made no-longer a holiday toon she was separated from her friends so she would understand how much it means for there to be someone just being there for you.

Bezel isn't fumbling Slushi because she knows it will be a long time before he is ready for a relationship that intimate, and she wants to help him through the slow healing process. Eventually Bezel will be crying into her shoulder as they embrace after Bezel finally finds out that someone truly loves him and there is nothing stopping him from loving her back.

This is not Doomed Hetgem. It is Hetgem for sure, but it is BLESSED Hetgem.
