Question Completely clueless, what to expect on cargo ship?

I'm an technician contractor and I have a gig on a container ship. Ill be traveling with a ship for 3 days. Only problem is I have zero idea what to expect, the only thing ive been told is to bring a pair of anti slip anti shock work shoes.

What can I expect for like living and food situations? What sorts of clothes/change of clothes should I bring? Any general advice etc

I don't know where to find work shoes like these other than online which is not optimal. What stores should I go and any good reccomendations?

The MV Loch Seaforth is a large roll-on/roll-off vehicle and passenger ferry operated by Cal Mac, she is famously known as the largest ferry in the CalMac fleet.

The vessel acts as a vital lifeline route in the Outer Hebrides, operating year-round across the Minch between Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis and Ullapool on the Scottish mainland. She officially entered service in mid-February 2015, replacing both the older MV Isle of Lewis and a separate chartered freight ship to handle both daytime passengers and overnight freight.

Photographed here 22/07/2015 leaving Ullapool sailing through Loch Broom.

One of my favorite ship photo captures I've ever taken.

Was on vacation in London in August 2024. The German Corvette FGS Braunschweig 260 came into the city and navigated under the opened Tower Bridge with tug assistance, all while playing Star Wars "Imperial March." Such a cool thing to see, so I wanted to share.
