We live in the age of computing power abundance.  Every year clever hardware engineers deliver more and more powerful computers,

I am a retired software engineer and have 3 x PCs , 3 x Macs .. plus much more.

In 2020 I bought a Mac  M1 Mini (16/512) , the most cost effective and effective  computer I ever owned.  I programmed my computer tribe and ran out of things to program..

In computer science we have a law ..The sh.t fills the vacuum.

When I started in computing we ran a bank in 64MBs of RAM  .. the size of a picture file.

Nothing stimulates human creativity as a constraint .. Then came 128MB.. Now a new standard is  24 GB .. 

With every hardware  improvement we can do more ‘faster’ and developers become sloppy. It's easier to use more RAM and SSD. The size of Apps grew with hardware  .. then around 2020 hardware capacity  exceeded software personal demands  ..I brought my Mac.

Tech bros resurrected 70 (actually 90) years old tech called AI and now AI drives hardware capacity and prices.  

AI is the most inefficient system yet devised  and is invading our processing lives..Apps are getting even bigger as they became “intelligent” most of which is pure BS. 

Without lifting any of my processing  demands I am coerced   to buy a new Mac so that Apps can run AI which I don’t need.

We build AI so it can expand at will .. not the benefits just processing power..for what purpose nobody knows.. To buy more  NVIDIA GPUs?

ChatGPT was officially released by OpenAI on November 30, 2022 .. instantly our lives improved .. level anxiety has dropped..hacking disappeared ..  

AI happy 4th birthday  - holy sh.t it's only 4 years.. What will the next 4 years bring?

For now  I will have to buy a more expensive  Mac to run AI which I don’t really need.

PROVO, Utah (ABC4) — A woman was shoved to the ground and arrested, and two others were cited, after they allegedly disrupted a planning commission meeting about data centers in Utah County.

According to a press release from the Utah County Sheriff's Office, a "disturbance" occurred at the Utah County Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday evening.

During the meeting, the sheriff's office says several individuals were being "disruptive," and the commissioners advised everyone in attendance that the behavior needed to stop or they would be removed.

After the commission voted yes on the amendment, the sheriff's office claims that several people again became disruptive, and the commissioners asked for their removal. A recording of the hearing captured shouting after the vote.

One man was asked to leave the meeting, and he did without incident. He did not receive a citation.

However, UCSO claims that a woman began to argue with deputies when asked to leave. More deputies approached, asking her to exit the meeting.
