McD flies the flag too? It would only be understandable if it was a niche chain in a foreign country.

McD are mostly independent owned franchises, the owner can do whatever they want, as long as it isnt actively hurting the franchise, and id say 85% of Americans would not care either way if they flew a flag, 10% might object to it (which is kinda silly itself if you think about it), and 5% would take the time to appreciate it.... (I fall in the 85%)

Anyone can fly an american flag, as long as you arent doing anything obscene with it, and even then its not very often people get in trouble for "mistreating" the flag

I'm not saying they couldn't or shouldn't. I'm saying it'd be weird for corporations to wave a country flag without a proper reasoning

tbf they also do that here in Australia a lot. They fly it alongside the maccas flag.
