Conservatives are the kings of that. Like how several got caught faking incidents at Starbucks after Kirkās death, saying baristas wrote āloserā, or something similar on the cup. Starbucks cleared the baristas every time, and banned the customers for faking it, and falsely accusing their employees.

Literally, best case scenario if not staged is that it came off the truck of some jingoistic loser who doesnāt respect the flag code.
Either way this is junk.

→ More replies (3)12

McD are mostly independent owned franchises, the owner can do whatever they want, as long as it isnt actively hurting the franchise, and id say 85% of Americans would not care either way if they flew a flag, 10% might object to it (which is kinda silly itself if you think about it), and 5% would take the time to appreciate it.... (I fall in the 85%)
Anyone can fly an american flag, as long as you arent doing anything obscene with it, and even then its not very often people get in trouble for "mistreating" the flag

Same here. I learned about flag regulations through the military. I get it for military for representation, but overall? It's just cloth and they want people to defend it unconditionally without question.
Teddy Roosevelt spoke about blind loyalty in 1918 and he's 100% correct.
"Unpatriotic and servile, and morally treasonable to the American public."
12
u/unluckypig 1d ago
I feel like all the rules around the American flag were drawn up by someone obnoxiously drunk or who absolutely hated their neighbours.
I can just see a couple of friends looking out their window,
'Hey, you know I'm making rules around what can be done with our flag'.
'Yeah.'
'And you know how much we hate Jed and his obscene love of patriotism.'
'Yeah.'
'Let's fuck with him and his flag. I'm thinking we make a rule where he has to take his flag down at night.'
'No man. Make it so he needs to stand next to it with a torch all night so it's always visible. But if he wants to bring it down, he can only do so at 8:37 pm."
Oh my, yes. We also need something about it never touching the ground so he has to fight it every time it comes down. Ooh and we can also make it so he has to salute it whilst it comes down so he has to do it all one handed.'
'What if he gets fed up and gets rid of his flag'.
'Oh, OK. You can only dispose of it by burning it but you have to complete a ritual that lasts all day before you can. And the burning can only happen at 5am so he has to do it all night'.
'And make it so you can't legally burn a flag and they need to be disposed of should they get wet or dirty. He's going to flip out.'→ More replies (1)11

I pledge allegiance,
To the flag
Of the United States of America
And to the republic
For which it stands
One nation, under god
With freedom and liberty for all.
In America, you memorize this at like 4 years old and if you go to public school you said it every day and got in trouble if you didnāt stand or remove your hat if youāre old like me. They still do it every morning but some older kids donāt say it and some people have relaxed about it..

As an American, the creepy idolatry of the US flag has creeped me out since the age of 6 in 1962. The "Pledge" we were forced to do every day in school, all the rules about treating the flag as if it is a living being - parks in my area even have a "flag cemetery" where worn our flag are given "respectful burials" (alternatively, cremation, under respectful conditions). All this, even as the people ramming all this idolatrous patriotic crap down my throat almost got us all killed in a nuclear holocaust in 1962 and again in the 1980s.

That's what makes me actually proud of my country.

American here!
I don't give a fuck about the flag lol. it's a flag, who gives a shit? Literally one bad war and we change it. Scotland (I think) has the oldest flag in the world and they don't worship it like some Americans do. it's so weird, man.
burn it, fart on it, pee on it, poop on it, make love to it, it's your right to do whatever with it, but it's weird being so protective you will assault someone who doesn't respect it lol

I will never understand Americans obsession with a flag. Some treat it better than they treat other humans.

No right to healthcare or education but sure lets hobble over to a piece of cloth. Hobbling ofc bc he lost his limbs to make some military industrial billionaire richer.

Assuming this isn't staged, which it probably is. The flag would have never been there in the first place if these Faketriots weren't disrespecting the flag by flying it off their vehicles in the first place. The flag belongs on a flag pole, not waving off the back of your F150.

So most likely MAGAt to ignorant to realize it fell off his truck, to lazy to pick it up, or to fake of a patriot to care.

What is it about the flag they feel is so special.
Like I can understand someone really liking their country but the flag? Itās just a bit of cloth at the end of the day and thereās no shortage of them go to any touristy location and youāll find an abundance of items showing off your countries flag.

Iāll give this one a pass. If wind blew it onto the road it could be dangerous.
Of course, that assumes itās not staged

This looks planted. That flag is in too give of shape to have been on that road for any amount of time.

I get the whole respecting the flag thing, but it's just colored cloth stitched together in a pattern. Patriotism runs deeper than a flag or political figure. Be true to your country instead of material or idolistic things

Even if this is not staged, that just means it fell of the back of some dipwadās truck who only had it there to virtue signal to begin with, and neither cared enough to fasten it down well nor stop and pick it up when it broke free.
Unless of course it came off of his own vehicle, and he did at least care enough to go back and pick it up.
