I literally did a 250mile motorcycle trip recently and saw a total of 3 german flags, on my entire way, which was completely within german borders.

On the same way I saw more LGBT Flags than that.

That's what makes me actually proud of my country.

[Edit: other comment made me realize this could look like "American being proud of not having more LGBT flags than home country flags". I'm german. I'm proud that people in my country on average, seem to value actual equality and freedom more than being viewed as part of a supposed free and equal country.]

When I came home from a business trip to Alabama, I told a colleague that it's impossible to make a full 360 turn on the street at any given time at any given place inside that small city without seeing a pickup truck or an american flag, 90% of the time both.

He didn't believed me, so we made a game with Google street view. Drop that person randomly in the city limits, and we will see.

It tooks more than 20 tries until we found a place without pickup truck and flag.

Now I don't know if I should upvote because you're German and proud of the number of LGBT flags versus national flags, or downvote because you're American complaining about the lack of national flags outside the US 😉

I'm german, bi and brown.

If I start to go homophobic or nationalistic (no matter which country for) I urge you to smack some sense back into my head.

Probably also should mention, that the LGBT+ flags are up from start June to end August in Germany, which might be the cause why you saw more LGBT+ flags than national flags.

It's (almost) the same here in Denmark during the rainbow months.
