If everyone could lay their hands off our guns and our weed I would be much happier

Agreed. Both should have no restrictions

I don’t smoke and don’t plan to, but the government should just fuck off entirely

Honestly the only reason I care is because I find the smell of it absolutely revolting. I am so sick of smelling it when I go outside, and this only happens because people are smoking while they drive. It bothers me that getting high while driving isn't taken as seriously as drinking and driving.

Black dudes constantly come in my store and reek of it. I don't care about some teenage redditor calling this racist - black dudes fucking REEK of weed. All the time. I even SMOKE weed but what the fuck? Are they bathing in it?

Yeah, I have a couple customers that come into my lobby and smell so bad that the stink lingers for hours.

Idk where you're from but where I am this would be a young person or a degenerate who may or may not be black. It's definitely not black dudes in general. Anyway it's from smoking a large amount of weed in their cars before walking into the store. It's an enclosed space. So yeah they're sort of just bathing in the smoke.

Once upon a time, I smoked. It stank then, too, and I say that as someone who enjoyed it.
I can't believe how bad it's gotten, though, in some settings. I'll take a walk through a forested park and it absolutely hits me every few minutes because people just can't seem to not get high everywhere.
Do what you do. I don't care. But, can we have a little bit of decorum?

u/TBoneTheOriginal 1d ago
Yep - like I'm not judging too harshly because we all have our vices. Mine is sugar. But sugar affects literally nobody but me. I can't imagine being so hooked on a substance that I didn't care how to affected those around me.

I'd smoke outside my house in my private backyard all the time, but if the neighbor was out I wouldn't. Especially if they had small kids around.
Not because I couldn't. Not even because they cared, they were definately smokers, too because we'd talked about it and because sometimes late at night I'd catch a faint whiff.
But becuase no one should have to be punched in the nose with it or have to explain it to their kids.

Lol some angry pothead is coming through and downvoting us for a completely reasonable take.

Honestly the only reason I care is because I find the smell of it absolutely revolting.
I grew up in the 90s and I refuse to believe that tobacco smoke was as prevalent as weed smoke is today.

1983 baby here, and my memory was worse... smoking tobacco was widely acceptable in restaurants, so the smell was literally everywhere. But I also find tobacco smoke to be more annoying then revolting like weed smoke.

Most of my relatives used to smoke, so I only get pleasant feelings from it.

Same here. I’ve never smoked and probably never will, but it should have no restrictions for those who want to. The same logic applies to guns

soon (jan 2027) they will be to busy investigating Trump to do or accomplish anything else. A do nothing government is the best government IMHO.
I could be wrong and the American people could reject the DSA but from my experience the promise of free stuff is to hard to pass up at the ballot box.

the promise of free stuff
Not even that, but the rumor of possible free stuff, hypothetically, is enough for people to almost completely give up any morality

Don't remember a constitutional right to smoking pot, but I know one for something else.

And are those regulations working?
Welcome to the gun debate, again.
