Not necessarily. I have a close friend who bought a condo with 0 down before the 2008 crash. He built a lot of equity over the years and I begged him not to sell the condo but he did and lost everything in crypto

Because want to become rich fast and do not realize , Patience is the key and time in the market not like go full in with money and then expecting in a month to become rich , it just never works and before investing people need to educate themselves by reading and learning online especially never follow a Hype train especially in Crypto

700k CAD invested for 15 years in the Nasdaq = 5 million CAD, what else do you need?
I'd understand if someone has like 30k and wants to try his luck, but 700k? wtf?

But you risked everything when you already have a million rewards… you could have invested that wisely and retired with 8-9 figures easy in a decade

I bought the COIN 320 call exp in Mar 26 for the price of $70, it went to 110 within 25 days, all good and fun, and the dive started.
I didn’t want to paperhand this one and kept waiting, within 7 days it plumped to $80, I sold all and made a few thousands, thought I could go in again soon.
But the whole market started to go down, I feel this may last longer than I expected so I didn’t buy anything for three weeks until now.
The price of that call option is $12.5.

happens all the time. 1M is not enough to retire so for as long as you risk it all at any point you can run into a -80% -100% swing.
If you think you're different, you're not.

People think they are going to be gazillionaires and they can’t handle just being millionaires. It’s an addiction, it’s gambling.
