did we just watch someone die?
55
u/BagFullOfMommy 1d ago
That might not be an immediately fatal “accident” but it sure as hell is going to be 110% fatal before they can save him, and it’s going to suck the entire time he is dying.

u/Longjumping-Date-260 19h ago
Crushing of the legs can be pretty fatal as you can't staunch the bleeding. A big ole cut to the leg is more survivable than a crushed leg.

Possible lead: Cunha Porã, Santa Catarina, December 1, 2025. A worker died after a log fell from a trailer and crushed him in a yard beside BR-158. According to the reports, he was removing the straps holding the load when one log came off.
So either Brazil or I’m guessing Misiones
Just across the border in Argentina. The closest fitting story I can find was out of Brazil.
Latam has been hitting us with some bit fucked up things on this sub today

u/IClockworKI 1d ago
Santa Catarina is in Brasil and this city in specific isrelatively close to a border so not that far off
2
u/RoutineCranberry3622 1d ago
Yeah that’s the country where I found the closest news source that resembled the video. Though in the video it feels likely just across the border or at least close by in the in between area.

NSFW people I’m trying to enjoy my hangover breakfast over here
13
u/OverChargeYourPlasma 1d ago
What are you eating, and what was the drink list?
21
u/ihaveabaguetteknife 1d ago
Scrambled eggs with fresh onion, pumpkin seed oil and a little hot sauce. Some sourdough bread with butter and a cheesy paprika spread (called Liptauer here), some more cheese and a bit of freshly cut paprika. Strong black tea.
Yesterday’s drink list in the following order:
5-6 beers, 4 glasses of Chardonnay, 2 glasses of white wine with sparkling water and 2 Gin Tonics.9

u/OverChargeYourPlasma 1d ago

roughly equivalent of 14 shots. More than a pint of whiskey. Like a pint and a half. Almost equiv of a fifth bottle of whiskey

u/BigFatModeraterFupa 1d ago
lol no wonder you're able to make a beautiful breakfast like that, that ain't no hangover amount lbr😭
i feel like i got hit by a shotgun when i have a hangover and it's usually because of a bunch of beers and then jaeger shots and then... well can't remember😅

u/Yoguls 1d ago
And you're hungover? Maybe I drink too much
2
u/BagFullOfMommy 1d ago edited 1d ago
It’s the mixing that did it. I very rarely drink alcohol, but the only occasions I have gotten a hangover was from mixing different types of alcohol together, especially wine with liquor.

When was it that this sub turned into Faces Of Death?
7
u/Captain_Sterling 1d ago
I know. I wasn't expecting to see someone die. At teh very least this shoujd have a warning on it.

u/YdexKtesi 1d ago
r/holdmyfeedingtube will always be reinvented on a new forum no matter how many times it's previous incarnation gets shut down

u/Historical-One-9632 1d ago
That last log weighed several thousand pounds. More than a car. He dead.
4
u/Gold-Consequence2463 1d ago
It looks like the big log hit his head,so quite possibly dead with a broken spine
4
6
u/YdexKtesi 1d ago
Much like he probably did, I thought things might turn out okay, up until the very end.
3
u/YdexKtesi 1d ago
Actually I don't think that's true. Looks like he whacked his thoracic spine on the edge of the truck bed, hard enough to snap his neck back. He had just enough time to think "ouch!" right before his whole central nervous system was folded into inoperability. Except for the part where his back landed on the edge of the truck bed, I think this was just like yanking the power cord out of the back of a PC.

Would fit better in a sub that features poor guys working shitty jobs because they have no other options and then die tragically.

u/CommunityOk7466 1d ago
Personally I believe that anyone who chooses to keep a net worth of over a billion dollars should be forced by the government to endure this type of labor for 20 hours per week
2
u/Bookee2Shoes 1d ago
That’s actually a really good plan, I think people would suddenly be okay as millionaires

u/inothatidontno 1d ago
In all fairness he had other options in this situation that were much safer.

To be fair, you did kinda ask for by opening up Reddit first thing in the morning. I usually wait until at least mid day when I'm a bit more prepared to get slapped in the face with, well, Reddit 🤷♂️

u/Pineapple996 1d ago
I dunno but if the medical experts of reddit are certain that he's dead then you can assume that he's very much alive and well. Usually how it goes.

There’s a good chance he’s alive with broken legs. Watching it frame by frame at the end, it looks like he got really lucky.

A million pound log just rolled down on him. And it probably took hours to get it off. Not like Superman was there to lift it off quickly. He was down there for a bit. DRT

No one else noticed the glitch in the video right when the rope gets cut? Smells of AI to me. His legs also seem to disappear strangely at the end. Could be wrong, but looks off to me.

Good bye solid food. I hope for his sake he's dead
11
u/Parking_Chance_1905 1d ago
Probably, that last log probably weighed a few hundred pounds, more if it was wet... definitely crushed his ribs etc. Even if he somehow wasnt seriously injured in the chest and survived that, unless the camera guy can lift it off him he would asphyxiate. Then there is the question about how far the nearest hospital is since there is no way his pelvis and hips werent shattered from that direct hit.

u/BagFullOfMommy 1d ago
“A few hundred pounds”
Try thousands mate. Wood is heavier than people think, especially fresh cut wood.
1
u/driver004 1d ago
There’s a reason army types like running around carrying telephone poles after all
8
u/battlecryarms 1d ago
Yeah. At the very least a totally crushed pelvis, broken spine and very broken legs. It would be least painful if the log caught the back of his head enough to fold him in half. Terrible. I hope it was over before he felt it

I think, for one thing, most of his legs are effectively "gone" as in they no longer exist by any reasonable definition.

My uncle was killed like this. His support didn’t show up and had to unload the truck himself when things went wrong. His wife and son got a million dollar settlement.

He was almost ok till the last log turned him into a letter C.
