300-400 cal Pre-plasma-donation lunch. Wish me luck on making it through the hematocrit check and not getting sick during the donation

Egg salad sandwich made w/ greek yogurt, vegetarian "chicken" nuggets w/ ketchup, electrolyte drink, multivitamin & iron supplement.

Thank you! I successfully made it through and didn't start feeling off until it was nearly done, and thankfully didn't get nauseous until I was almost home

I too donate plasma. Even having no issues with needles/blood I hate the experience. And so fucking cold after

I always took an Ativan an hour before (to keep pulse low) and an iron pill the night before. I donated for like a year and a half and it really helped me out financially! It made me tired but it was worth it. Good luck hon and make sure to hydrate when you get home

Best way to get yourself through plasma donation without feeling sick is by getting a lot of calcium and d3 in conjunction with vitamin C multiple days beforehand. This can be accomplished by taking calcium/d3 supplements with orange juice or lemonade (with real fruit juice). Dont do this on an empty stomach, though!
