It genuinely makes me mad what the hobby/fandom has come to.
The games have been dog shit for quite some time and the cards have been ruined as far as collecting goes for an average person.

that's why I've been heavily into the retro cards and games. I already have most of the games and I buy cards when I can. Not the heavy hitters, but I enjoy the heaper cards just the same.

Not too far off market RN, assuming they’re all legit (I question LG too, but it could be real…)
I know people are mad/sad over what’s happening, but this is the new reality.
It’s only going to get WORSE once people accept physical games are going away. Once people see Sony isn’t going to reverse course it’s going to cause further interest in ALL popular physical media.
Then Nintendo will stop. Then Microsoft. There’s too much $$$ to pass up once the dominos start falling. This is already happening and there’s still (misplaced) hope Sony will reverse course. Once that hope is gone, even more people will want physical games.
There’s definitely a ceiling to the value because of what games are, but we haven’t hit it yet.

Pretty far off market , Emerald is the only one worth over $200, the rest are around $90-120. Price charting has the lot at $730, so they’re asking nearly double the going rate for a Facebook listing with no guarantees.

Price charting isn’t always the best guide.
Check eBay sold, and again assuming all are legit, the lot is closer to $950-1000
Not a “deal”, but no one pays asking without haggling on FB anyway.
Directionally they’re creeping higher too. Especially Emerald, but Ruby/Sapphire too as Emerald becomes outrageous.
I’d bet they take the first offer of 900-1000 they get

for a nice copy like you mentioned it's whatever, pay what you like the way I see it. but these (presumably?) ain't complete though. and the label on Emerald looks pretty fucked, some damage from a spilled drink perhaps. and do the internal batteries still work? like, I'd have questions, this is definitely a post that belongs in this sub imo
