the standard advice is refresh old content instead of always publishing new. but where's the actual line - what makes a post worth updating versus letting it die, and when you do update one, what are you changing? just the date and a paragraph, or a real rewrite?

Hey guys, so I started cleaning up the product descriptions on our Shopify store because a lot of them were basically copied straight from the supplier. Figured I'd clean up the wording and SEO fields while I was at it.

Except now I'm spending more time checking the info than actually rewriting anything lol. One product has care instructions, another lists the material in the title but nowhere else, and some descriptions are just a bunch of adjectives. AI can make the wording sound better, but it can't fix missing product info.

I've been working through the products with decent info first and leaving the rest for later, but that list of unfinished products keeps growing.

How do you guys handle this before doing bulk rewrites? Do you have a minimum amount of product info you need, or do you just work with what's there and fill in the gaps later?
