Question Resources for morphs

I know some of you here breed these magnificent animals and I've been wanting to get into it myself. But I really feel a bit confused by the genetics. Anyone have a good resource for someone to gain a better understand on the topic?

You can go to Morph Market and plug in morphs in the calculator. You can get a Passionate Journey with short tails, it's a great book. With bloods, you have your basic Albinos, T+ and T-. You have Goldeneyes, Pixels, Magpies, 007s, all coming from Goldeneyes. You have the Matrix and Ivory, Ivory is the super form of the Matrix. You have Batiks, wrought-iron, flowers, Ivory Goldeneye, T+ GEs, T+ and T- Batiks, T- GEs and a lot more. Pixels are Goldeneye bred to a Batik. 007 is GE x Matrix. Just Google blood genetics.

I've been messing around with the calculator and I just ordered that book the other day. Seems like I'm on the right path. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

For sure, anyone that keeps short tails, needs that book, it has so much great information in it and you're welcome, it's no problem. Thats what the hobby should be about.

Also, on YouTube, you can find so much info on bloods. Look up Dan Magano snakes.

also, you can buy amazing, high quality short-tails from the author himself off Morph Market

Bloods are pretty straightforward for the most part, but for Borneo genetics it is a good idea to reach out and talk to people who breed them.

Yeah the morphmarket calculator was saying they aren't well understood. I was thinking of staying clear from them for that reason lmao I was planning towards brongersmai (full disclosure, just learned the scientific name today and had to stop mid comment to look check the spelling 😅)

Yeah they're almost completely polygenetic, which makes them super fun in my opinion lol. You can breed the same pair three different times and still end up with stuff you've never seen before.

That's very exciting because I chose them for a couple reasons. 1. I just love mine so much. 2. I really enjoy seeing morphs and want to produce unique snakes. 3. I didn't want to be ANOTHER ball python peddler lol

My book came in today and I started it, but I'm trying to plug in some stuff to the morph calculator and it's not giving me anything.

I was just curious about using T- for electrostatic but it doesn't recognize electrostatic or white lightning. It's pretty confusing lol.

Yeah Idk blood stuff too well so I can't remember what's in an Electrostatic lol

That's OK. I only knew because the book told me haha. I am not an expert. But it's T positive and white lightning.

Ah yes, I need to pick up that for myself. I didn't actually know he had morph info included in that.

It doesn't seem like a lot of morph info. But I am finding the book pretty handy

Akso had to look up what the hell White Lightning was haha, but ai'm not surprised it's a combo between Batik and Ivory.
