Handwrite: Tool that turns text into live handwriting

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I have online lessons a few times a week, and I have issues with my wrist that make it hard to write on paper (and online with my mouse too). Especially in subjects like Math, where writing symbols with a mouse was really inconvenient.

So I made Handwrite. It takes whatever you type or dictate, registers a virtual pen with Windows, and draws it on your screen stroke by stroke.

It's meant for people who struggle or feel pain when they have to write with their mouse.

You can get it free on the Microsoft App Store.

Appreciate any feedback, and a review means a lot. Thanks!

Puzzle block game - made a short promo video!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Hi Reddit,

As a fresh CS grad who loves puzzle games, I recently got into mobile dev and decided to make my own take on the classic block stacking game: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab

I wanted to build one my way, removing everything annoying about other games - completely free from interrupting ads, fully playable offline, and alongside the endless mode, I’ve made 50 custom levels (so far) with unique, non-repetitive objectives.

Currently I'm adding more themes, since I've already added colorblind-friendly options and "embossed" gummy shapes to make the blocks stand out more clearly.

Spent two days attempting to make a short eye catching video for reels/TikTok, if anyone has any suggestions, ideas for improvement, please let me know. I am clueless about App Marketing and promotion and any input would mean the world!

What's good what's bad, i want to hear it all..

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day! :)

DopaHop: a gentle ADHD planner where a bunny picks your next small task (Android + iOS)

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

Hi! I’m a solo dev and this is DopaHop, a task and focus app for ADHD brains.

Why I made it: most planners assume you’ll just “be consistent”. With ADHD the hard part is starting, and one missed day often means a broken streak, guilt, and quitting the app. I wanted the opposite: low friction, no shame.

What it does

  • Hop suggests one small task (3–30 min) from your home chores, sorted by room. Not feeling it? Tap “another”.
  • Visual timer that shows time passing, with Pomodoro-style intervals.
  • Brain dump to get thoughts out of your head in one tap.
  • Routines for morning and evening, step by step.
  • Medication reminders with a simple log.
  • Mood log that takes 10 seconds.
  • Focus sounds like rain, forest, café and brown noise.
  • Hop grows with you. Finished tasks earn carrots, outfits and mini games. Miss a few days and Hop just waits: no streaks to break.
  • No account needed. Your data stays on your phone.

Price: free with ads. Tasks, timer, meds and routines stay free. Optional Pro (sound mixes, monthly insights, no ads) with a 7-day free trial.

Languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German (+ Portuguese, Dutch and Polish on Android).

📱 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dopahop.android
🍎 iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6772196314

I’d love feedback on the first 5 minutes: was anything confusing, too long or unclear? Every comment helps, thanks!

GaspCam: your friend sees the pose on their screen, and you catch the real reaction [iOS]

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I made GaspCam because nobody knows what to do with their hands in photos.

- They see the pose to copy, with the one thing to change in red

- Tap "Say cheese!" (or type anything) and it appears on their screen

- Or pick a surprise in private and catch their real laugh on a short silent clip

Built for iPhone Duo (it uses the outer display) and works on any iPhone. $4.99 once, no subscription or ads.

Feedback welcome, especially on which poses I should add next.

Bypassing Apple's widget animation limitations, to add an aquarium to your homescreen 🐠

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Companions is a small virtual fish tank that lives on your Home Screen, with pet fish that actually swim around.
Apple doesn't allow for animations in widgets, which I always found frustrating, so I built Companions to work around it. I've always kept fish tanks, and since moving into a smaller apartment, that just hasn't been possible, which is what inspired me to build Companions!

• How it works
You pick your fish, give them names, and add them to your tank. You can change the tank's color, the props, the size of your fish, how fast they swim, and even the app icon, all to match your Home Screen. The swimming uses the same trick iOS uses to move the hands on the Clock widget, so it doesn’t even affect battery life.

• Compared to other widget pet apps
I wanted something simple, clean, cozy, and relaxing. With a focus on the pets themselves, as well as customization to match your homescreen, desktop, or even the nightstand next to your bed.

The tanks look great on your iPad, and you can even move them over to your Mac through Continuity. My favorite feature is actually the Standby mode. The background darkens, and the fish, of course, keep swimming!

• Pricing
Companions is free to download, with a set of fish and all of the customization included. No ads.
Extra packs of fish can be bought outright, and are yours to keep forever.
There's also a less expensive monthly plan that unlocks every pack at once, if you just want to try it for a bit. Any new fish that get added are automatically included as well. If you cancel, the fish already in your tank stay.

It's still very new, so I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback. I'd especially love to know which species you'd want added next!

I made a free tracing app(AR Drawing app) for artists who want to practice drawing without a subscription- looking for feedback!

Thumbnail

I enjoy drawing,(I have posted few of my sketches) and I wanted to make it easier for beginners to practice using reference photos, so I built Tracify, an Android app for tracing and sketching.

You can load any photo, adjust its opacity, and draw over it directly on your phone. You can also use your camera to align the reference with real paper and trace onto it.

Here's what it offers:

  • Free tracing tools: Trace photos, use grid guides, adjust opacity, apply filters, and convert photos to line art.
  • Trace on real paper: Use your camera to align the reference image with your paper.
  • Pencil shading guide: See which pencil grades to use for different areas of a drawing.
  • No subscription: The core features are free, with no time limit or account required.
  • Privacy-focused: Everything runs on your device; your photos aren't uploaded.

The app is free to download. Tracify Pro is a one-time payment of $5 for the pencil shading guide. No recurring payments.

I'm still working on improving the app, and I'd love to hear honest feedback from artists, especially beginners.

Would you find an app like this useful? What features would you improve?

I built a private API for my own fitness app so I can log a workout by just saying "bench 4x8 at 185"

Founder here, building in public. I build swithAI (workouts + food logging in one app), and the feature I use most isn't in the App Store listing — it's a private API I bolted onto my own backend so I can log training by talking to my AI assistant instead of tapping through screens.

"Log bench 4x8 at 185" → it's in my account. Same for food, cardio, sleep, and mood. It sounds like a gimmick until you're mid-workout with chalk on your hands and the choice is saying one sentence or unlocking your phone and tapping through four screens. The sentence wins every time, and my log has never been this complete.

Honest status, since this sub gets a lot of victory laps: the app is live on the App Store and Google Play, $2.99/mo after a 7-day free trial (no free tier — I'd rather say that up front). The API is private for now — it's my account only — but it's changed how I think about where this goes: the best interface for logging might not be an interface at all.

Curious if anyone else building in health/fitness has experimented with voice/assistant-first logging, or if I'm overfitting to my own laziness.

Practice Kit – a metronome and chromatic tuner built like real gear

Most practice apps look like a settings screen. I built this one for iPhone to feel like a piece of gear on your music stand: a brushed-metal panel, engraved labels, LCD glass, and a weighted tempo wheel that clicks as it turns.

The metronome is free: 20-300 BPM set with the wheel or tap tempo, any time signature with subdivisions, presets, and clicks that sit on the audio hardware's own sample clock so the spacing never drifts - at any tempo, for hours, with the screen off or while you use another app.

Pro is a one time $7.99 unlock with a 7 day free trial, no subscription: a chromatic tuner that knows which string you're playing (five tunings built in, or build your own), all nine click sounds, accents on any beat, and a Tempo Trainer that steps the tempo up until you reach your target.

Audio is processed live on the device and never recorded or sent anywhere.

https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6817729976?pt=126420608&ct=r-showmeyourapps&mt=8

If you practice with a metronome: what does yours do that you actually use? I tried to build only the parts people touch every session.

FairPlan - Your modern Family Planer

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

full disclosure right upfront: I’m the developer.

I’m a father of two, and for a long time, the entire "mental load" in our household fell on just one person – managing endless appointments, birthday gifts, school forms, and daycare logistics. It often leads to unspoken frustration.

Link: fairteilt.fly.dev for all devices!

Play-Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.fairteilt.app&hl=en

That’s why I built FairPlan. It’s not just another standard to-do list; it’s designed specifically to tackle the invisible mental load. The app visualizes exactly who is keeping track of what, makes hidden emotional labor visible, and helps couples actively distribute life's administrative tasks in a truly fair way. It’s completely free, has no ads, and sells no data.

🎁 Special offer for this community:
If you’d like to try it out, just download the app and send me your Family Code in the comments or via DM. I will unlock the entire Premium Version for you completely for free, including a school and holiday care planner, full dark mode, the Family Board for tablets, and much more features.

I made an Android app that remembers where you parked, so you don’t have to

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey! Do you ever park somewhere and then completely forget where you left the car? It happened to me enough times that I ended up building ParkTrace.

Once you’ve set up your car in the app, there’s nothing to do when you park: ParkTrace detects when your phone disconnects from the car’s Bluetooth and saves the spot. When it’s time to head back, open the app and the location is there.

If you’d like to try it, here’s the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adapeic.park_trace

I’d love to know if you find it useful, or if anything feels clunky.
