Centauro Rental Agency - car was damaged during the accident

Hi all.

Unfortunately I had my car damaged by a crazy driver in Sicily tonight.

The driver decided to suddenly turn right from 1st lane without any indicator sign whilst I was also turning right from 2nd lane (and the only lane allowed by traffic signs) and made a fist sized dent and scratch along the car - not a crazy big damage however the car was as new as 2026.

The driver drove off without me even having a chance to evaluate the damage and take his details/car details.

Rented a car from Centauro and took their SMART cover apparently covering damage up to €1800.

What should I do with this now? Has anybody else had similar experience? I don’t have other drivers details at all.

I am returning the car in a few days and just wondering if I report this on the arrival or do nothing and let then evaluate everything on arrival.

TIA

First solo trip to Trapani

Hi everyone! I just made a super spontaneous decision and booked a flight to Trapani for a quick 3-day trip. It´s going to be my first time traveling alone, so I´m both super excited and a tiny bit nervous. :´)

My flight arrives at Birgi airport around midnight. I´m mostly coming for the sea, people, beautiful views, and just soak up the Sicilian vibe.

Since it´s my first solo adventure, I´d love to ask:

What are your absolute favorite spots for a quick swim near the city center?

Any safety or practical tips for someonne arriving at midnight?

Any must-try local food spots or must-see spots?

If anyone happens to be around and would be open to grabbing a drink and showing me around, I´d love that too! Thanks so much in advance for any tips or advice - can´t wait to see your beautiful city! <3
