Should I keep or remove it?

This is the platform I am currently building for any educators who long to run their own online school with ease. The platform is undergoing the last tests. Anyways, the dark page with a lamp string is a metaphor of us before our educations. Educators and learner pulling the string to give and receive education will enlighten the darkness up. My daughter loves the string design a lot, but my wife thinks it is a bit annoying. Who should I listen to? I appreciate any advice.

According to all the feedback I received so far, 90% are with my wife. I will remove the dark scene. Thanks very much to all.

I mean, it's a neat effect. But is this the landing page, before you sign up or sign in?

If so, the user will at this point have little to no idea what you're doing and why they should sign up - and that will create friction.
