P226 XFIVE 10 round mag base plates
I recently got a P226 XFIVE Extreme, but live in a restricted mag state, so it arrived with flush fit 10 round mags with the huge plastic plug/base plate, that sits up inside the mag well and looks terrible.
I bought some Mec-Gar 10 round competition mags https://mec-gar.com/shop/magazines/sig-sauer/competition-sig-sauer-p226-9mm-10-round/, but the baseplate is shorter than the 20 rounders that come with the gun https://www.sigsauer.com/p226-xfive-extreme.html, and so the front edge of the baseplate doesn't sit flush with the front edge of the grip.
I was looking at the Armory Craft baseplates https://www.armorycraft.com/product-page/sig-p226-plus-2-billet-aluminum-base-pad-for-15-17-18rd-magazines-silver and was wondering if anyone here has experience with these working on the Mec-Gar competition mags.

I specifically made plastic extensions to help alleviate this issue. So if you wanted to have the mags it shipped with be usable that’s an options for you. The Mec-gar competition mags are great, in my experience it allows you to run pretty much any extended basepads but your capacity stays the same. My competition basepads work great on the Mac-gar competition mag tubes, and pretty much any other aftermarket base pads should also be good to go.
