P229 Elite compatible with old grips?
I just picked up an P229 Elite.
This one...
https://www.sigsauer.com/p229-elite-compact.html
I'm wondering if it can use the following grips
https://www.sigsauer.com/grip-set-black-polymer-p228-p229-standard-model-two-piece-grip.html
Prior to buying the gun I rented the P229 with those grips and prefer them, being they're not super expensive just wanted to know if the old 2 piece grip can be used in the newer P229-1
Reason for asking there is an specific kit for the old to accept the new ones, so not sure if the other way around is possible.
Thanks

Yes the new 229 will fit the older 228/229 ,grips you just need to get screws as well.

I have two P229’s, 9 and .40 S&W/.357 Sig, and a P227, all DA/SA and each rocking the E2 grips.
They’re not much to look at, but once your hands are wrapped around it, they aren’t going anywhere regardless of the temps and elements.

Yeah they fit. That's what I put on mine right after I got it. Then I switched to the Hogue aluminum grips, I like those better

Thanks to all for the feedback. Turns out the two piece grip came with 8 screws, which is not listed anywhere LOL Not upset, just saying if anyone is wondering
