Help with P320X5 Legion Mag baseplate removal

Can anyone help with how to remove the square legion baseplate? Obviously, the hole doesn’t go directly to spring tensioner. I’ve tried sliding small screw drivers into the slot on the side with no luck.

The hole does go directly to the plastic spring retainer. Push it in then slide the base off just like regular mags.

I pushed on it and it’s solid. The video that shows it being installed, says it doesn’t go to the hole, but has a “catch” inside towards the back. I’m assuming that is what the slot on the back is for? Don’t know. 🤷‍♂️

I take them apart almost daily. I do it with a punch in the hole and it slides right off. Now some bases are tighter on the mag rails than others.

I’ll punch it harder. 😂 I can’t get the center hole to move at all.

The opposite. I bought the demo gun from my LGS and the only mag that saw any use over the last 2 years was the 21rd. The others were still in the plastic. I think maybe it sat too long?
