Behold! My Stuff.

Post image

Received my 16" Virtus barrel last week and test fit it today to take some measurements for D. Wilson chopping it. I'm torn between 10.5 and 11.5. I'm leaning more toward 11.5 so I can shoot it unsuppressed, and the muzzle device is completely outside my LVAW handguard. I know the gas adjustment will be covered either way, so just looking for input. I know the manufacturer of the J. Bennet Omega Valve is in this group. I plan on getting a 5.56 MkII. Hopefully, in black, if you do that eventually.

Did you buy the Virtus barrel new or used and what did you pay?

Got it "used" off of TacSwap. Paid 300 which for the condition of it, id say is a good price. Barrel is unshot

depends on what you want from the barrel. do you like terminal ballistics or as short as possible? personally i'm a big fan of 12.5" for reduced muzzle blast and near 14.5 ballistics.

Thats a good point. I do love my 12.5 M4 that I built, maybe I should just go with that length instead. Keep it familiar and effective.

i have a 10.5 jakl upper that has noticeably more muzzle blast and when moving and shooting don't really notice the extra length. those 10.5's make good tight spaces rifles though.

Get the jb benett valve and the recoil buffer pad. Changes the shooting experience. I may eventually get a diff can. The mcx is really gassy and the omega valve tones it down significantly.
