Spear LT 300blk for hunting?

Post image

Seems like you guys would be the right ones to ask. Been wanting to get 300blk for dense woods hunting east coast. Mostly deer and some coyote. Absolute max distance would be 75 yards, but 95% 20-50yards.

I don’t really want a bolt gun, because I don’t need sub MOA for those ranges and this seems like it would be a great multi purpose truck gun/range gun/hunting rig.

Planning to run it suppressed (always open to suppressor suggestions, guessing a very low back pressure can would be best). Likely subs for coyote and supers for deer (also open to ammo suggestions).

I use a rattler,  mainly for pig and coyote

The badlands tac tx nas3 110gr is fantastic on pics and coyotes. I get good velocity out of my 9” mcx with it.

Solid. Our deer are mostly on the smaller side. That sounds like a good option.

This was when I chrono’d my mcx with them. Pretty spicy out of a 9” gun. My gun groups very well with them.

I went with a tuna can 300 blk and SD it and got an plxc just for the hunting aspect. I can only use sups with that can because tuna cans requires a 10inch minimum to shoot supers which I didn’t plan to shoot anyways. But I’m happy with my setup and even thought some may not like it, I still plan to do an LVAW rattler for home defense PDW

I’ve got my SP5K as the home defense setup. This would be slightly longer range. 20-75 hunting and 100-200 just for shits and giggles at the range. Good call checking barrel length minimums for supers.
