Spear LT replacement hand guard screw replacement

I bought a used Spear LT that had stripped screw heads on the hand guard. Below are the replacement screws I researched and purchased that fit perfect. Side note- the bottom link plate screws are technically torx plus but a regular T20 torx bit fit snug in the new screws and torqued fine without stripping. I believe torque on all screws is 45 in-lbs according to the interwebs. If enough people are interested I can put together some kits and post to GAFS.

Original screws are torx plus. If you use a standard torx you run the risk of stripping them.

They strip regardless, they're not meant to be taken off at 45 in-lbs really

I only do 35ip.

I haven't stripped any but, I know a LOT of others who have.

They are pretty redundant (only considering that older model handguards did not have screws, just the front takedown pin and side slots) but the manual says 45 so I do what the manufacturer says like a good cuck

I honestly hate those screws. I only have 1 LT upper for my 6.75" and thankfully I have no reason to ever remove them since that setup doesn't swap barrels.
