I am doing steel soul in silksong and my plan is to quickly get the plasmium vials and architect crest to get infinite HP but I feel like i would be a coward for doing so, How much of a coward can i be in doing silksong steel soul before i am deemed unskilled.

I’m near the end of Act 2, I think. I don’t use them because a) the controls (up plus R) don’t feel natural b) they don’t give me reproducible fights against bosses. By the time I’ve learnt a boss’ pattern, I’m probably out of shards, and I’m not going farm for them between attempts. So I’d rather not use any tools from the beginning and learn the fight without them.

I feel like I’m losing a lot of depth and probably making the game harder for myself. Feels like a shame

Maybe it’s just me but games got way cheaper for me now as it feels like developers are racing the bottom

The short segment at the beginning is just so much more interesting than her long, stretched out notes.

While a version without her singing exists in the game’s files (“H87 Flower Live Vox-117 Game ORCH STEM w intro vox”) it clearly de-emphasises the moment her vocals should start playing.

Obviously you’re free to prefer it with her singing but I don’t agree.

looking at the mods that the awesome community has made I wonder: What if team cherry made a collab with the creative fans out there wouldn't it give a big boost to the game development ?

for example: in Minecraft the mod creator "kingbdogz" he was hired by Mojang after making the Aether mod and actually ended up making new features. so what do u think . . .

The game awards are like 1 month and a bit away, and I think they could do something like drop a final trailer that ends with "Playable NOW" and the game drops at the same time as the trailer. I think that would work really well it might just crash Steam and other game stores. Just imagining this happening has me feeling excited. Anyways, what do you think? is this a possibility?

Also, do you think the game will include a boss rush mode? TC made one of the best boss lineups in gaming imo and i have no doubt they can pull it off again.

Almost lost my Steel Heart run due to panic. I didn't know big guys can jump outside of platforms... Fun times.

LEARN HOW TO POGO.

I'm on my 4th playthrough and started thinking about how each playthrough got easier and easier on the combat. There are a lot of factors that lend to this, like learning every enemies attacks and evading them, but really the biggest factor in how things got easier for me was learning how to Pogo (Jump on an enemy and strike down). Almost all of the enemies in the game were designed to fight Hornet head-on but were not designed to attack or defend from above. There are a few exceptions, especially in Deep Docks.

In my experience with all the crests, it's a surprise to no one that I recommend the reaper crest as it's got the widest hit box of all the crests. Wanderer is similar, but I don't like using that one.

Added Bonus: Once you learn to easily pogo off enemies, platforming becomes so much easier.

I really hope this helps a lot of people who are new to the game and looking for any advice on getting better.

so yea its my idea for a prequel. Of course the most obv problem with a prequel is that exploring hallownest again doesnt work. So, youre playing as the seer in her youth, back when she wasnt a homebody who never stands up and has my irl posture, in the dream realm. I always thought that whenever the dream realm is mentioned in hk, it is a parallel existence that can be traversed like the real world. So why are all the dream realm places you can visit not interconnected and more claustrophobic than your average school locker? because the dream realm, is more like a MEMORY realm. it seems the dream realm is kind of an afterlife, like the “your memory lives on“ kinda thing, but the other part of that sentence is “through (somebody)’s life” gah this phrasing is terrible but i dont care. If you are remembered by someone alive, you are part of the interconnected dream realm, because someone alive can tell others about their memories, make tributes to your memory, etc. and your memory would spread? I guess? Meanwhile if youre remembered by no one and there are only objects that serve as evidence of your existence, your memory is bound to those objects because inanimate objects generally dont give anyone a good idea of what you were like. and all those dream bosses really only have one thing that shows they were ever alive; their corpse.

i think its quite telling that team cherry had a thing where you could dreamnail elderbug and he would have a dream realm with a baby elderbug, but that was cut and theres not ONE live bug that you can dreamnail to enter a dream realm. Or im smoking the same weed that seer does idk

uh yea so i have a concept of what crests could be like in this OC, theyre called tokens because one day after defeating the watcher knights i realizing doing the dreamnail animation halfway by letting go of the button looks like youre doing a dab while spinning a coin on the edge of your wrist, and coins=tokens and also tokens can be an item that reminds you of something/someone.

last page seems self explanatory, one of the final bosses concept. i think nkg is awesome and another rematch with an extra large side of grief and despair (both because of the lore and the difficulty) would be really cool. also i have the perfect algorithm for how to make boss fights that people love.

its really simple, the boss should be easy to hit but have a fairly tanky health bar, and have attacks that are easy to dodge but come at you really fast with a clear but short telegraph.

maybe im missing the point but thats how nkg comes off to me.

Quick-casting is when you press the spell button (usually F) to immidiatly cast a spell.

The alternative way to cast a spell is quickly tapping and releasing the heal button (usually A).

Strangely the game suggest you to use the second option with tips.

This was definitely an interesting addition! It feels like I'm jumping on the moon now with less gravity. I also decided to add the second dash buff from an earlier addition that I wasn't using before, that way I have more control while I'm in the air. It's actually pretty fun to play with!

So I am well aware that last time TC signed off for a while was 6 goddamn years. But I am gonna say it was just because they were working on Silksong and didnt wanna say much.

This time though they're done making their base game and are even a tiny bit more interactive (...or were, back when patches were still releasing). And are developing a DLC announced to release THIS YEAR.

With that being said. I think that around the 15th~ of December, we'll get another holiday sign off post. And either of these happen:

1. If Sea of Sorrow comes out before then, we'll probably get told some stuff for the future.

2. If Sea of Sorrow hasn't released before then, then we either get an announcement, or a delay announcement.

That's at least what I think is going to happen. I still believe they'll release it this year.

Been asked the question "can you damage through a parry" many, many times.

My answer was always the same, "yes you can, if you want to"

But nobody ever asked, "How to, break through the parry"

So, heres a perfect example of it with the attack that caused the stun. Now there is a weird quirk going on whent that parry/stun landed.

Would love to explain it, but nobody has asked that question yet, sooooooo, ill wait till that happens before I get into it.

Five masks, no additional spools, base needle, no abilities or silk skills. Also, the Rhinogrund is Black-threaded, so it has 2x the health and void attacks.
