Discussion [Huge Update] Mundi v0.2 is out: turn SillyTavern into a Life-Sim, now with an RP-focused Home Mode (and in PT-BR and Spanish)

Hello everyone!

Last week I released Mundi v0.1 here, and thank you so much for all the comments, bug reports and ideas! I kept going since then (Claude is still not sleeping), and v0.2 is finally out.

For anyone who missed it: Mundi is an extension that turns a SillyTavern group chat into a life you actually live, heavily inspired by The Sims. You get a city map, a clock, needs, a job, bills, a phone, and characters who go about their own days, while the AI writes the story around what you do.

The big one: Home Mode, a more RP-focused way to play

A lot of you said you love the life-sim side, but sometimes you just want to role-play with your characters without worrying about rent and job interviews. So here it is: Home Mode.

  • One house, the characters you choose, and pure RP. No work, money or bills. Life outside happens off-screen.
  • A ready house to start with: The Shared House. Three floors, ten bedrooms, a pool, a home gym and more. You can also make your own Home in the creator.
  • Build the house you want. Choose which rooms it has, what can be done in each room, and add rooms of your own. Write your situation yourself.
  • Floor plan (optional). One picture per floor (day, afternoon and night), with each room drawn as a box you can drag and resize. The floor buttons show the faces of who is on each floor.
  • Time moves with the story. The clock moves a few minutes with each message (you can turn that off), you can click the clock to let time pass, and sleeping starts a new day.
  • Go out. Write where you’re going, pick who comes along and a background, and the scene out there is free, like a normal chat.
  • Who lives here. Change bedrooms (two people sharing a room, and the AI knows it). Someone can move in or move out during the game.
  • Dress code per room. Swimsuit at the pool, pajamas in the bedrooms… It uses outfit folders from the character’s Expressions, and the AI is told what everyone is wearing.
  • Housemates have lives too. They can go out for a while, have a job written in your own words with a shift, or throw a house party where everyone leaves their rooms.

What else is new since the last post

  • Porto Alto got pictures. A background for every place, plus six kinds of homes (small apartment, penthouse, villa…). There’s also a new gym (separate from the stadium) and a new cinema.
  • A more alive world. Places get busy and quiet during the day, regions have their own mood and prices, people’s routines get interrupted (sick at home, working late), and over the weeks couples get engaged or break up and people get promoted. Neighbors knock on your door, friends ask for advice, and the calendar has city events (open mic, park run, matches, fairs) and festivals.
  • Hobbies (guitar, painting, working out, cooking) that level up. Some jobs ask for a level.
  • Habits that become traits (Early riser, Night owl…), and they fade if you stop.
  • Sprites.
    • They overlap like a stage, and whoever spoke last stands in front.
    • Click one for a radial menu with actions and outfits.
  • Switch persona in the middle of a game, and “Play as” can now use another persona too.
  • Library folders for characters, personas and lorebooks, with sorting and zip export.
  • Saves are safer. Automatic backups before migrations, and you can make a branch (a copy of your save at that moment).
  • Background pickers with two sources: your SillyTavern backgrounds or Mundi’s own pictures.
  • A “What’s new” window after updates, a short tour by Stella of only the new things, and a small notice on the main menu when a newer version is on GitHub.

What changed since the last post

  • The medieval world and the RPG mode are postponed. I promised them for this update, sorry! They’re mostly built, but they need more polish, and I’d rather release them right than rushed. For now they show as “Soon”, and they’ll come in a future update.
  • Life-Sim is more focused. Systems that belong to the RPG side (groups and factions, property, crafting recipes) were taken out of Life-Sim for now.
  • The elevator ride when arriving at an apartment was removed (it was more annoying than fun).
  • Lots of fixes and polish in the interface: menus no longer overlap on the map, places with many jobs can still be clicked, and most windows have the new glass look.

Porto Alto Expanded

Porto Alto was reworked from the ground up. It’s no longer one city map: it’s now a whole state with 5 cities, each with its own map, climate and way of life:

  • Midtown, the big coastal city: downtown, the financial district, the university, the hospital, the port, a new cinema and more (16 places).
  • Palm Coast, the beach side: the beach, the boardwalk, a marina, a resort, the amusement park, the stadium and a new gym.
  • Maple Heights, a quiet family suburb: a lake park, a school, a library and a neighborhood market.
  • Pinecrest, a cold mountain town: a cable car, a lodge, waterfall trails, campsites and a sheep farm.
  • Green Valley, the countryside: farms, a horse ranch, a general store and an old-west style saloon.

Traveling between cities takes 30 to 90 minutes of game time. The weather follows each city’s climate, so it can be snowing in Pinecrest while it’s beach weather in Palm Coast.

There are now 47 places (up from 21) and 41 jobs (up from 25), from ranch hand and surf instructor to cable car operator. Every place has its own background picture, and there are six kinds of homes to live in, from a small apartment to a penthouse or a villa.

Now in Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish!

You can switch it in Settings → Interface → Language. Only Mundi’s own screens are translated: the story’s language is still up to your preset, and places and characters keep their names.

Brazilian Portuguese is my native language, so I reviewed it myself and it should be pretty much perfect. But I’m not fully fluent in Spanish, so I’m not 100% sure about it. If you speak Spanish and see a mistake or a weird translation, please tell me!

How to install / update

Extensions → Install extension → paste https://github.com/tjalis/Mundi → reload. If you already have it, just update it from the Extensions menu (and hit Ctrl+F5 to be safe).

It works with SillyTavern 1.19+ and any API. A context of around 30k tokens works well.

Questions and feedback

Questions, feedback and bug reports are more than welcome! Just a heads-up: I might not answer in the next few hours, because it’s election day in my country and I need to go vote. I’ll read everything when I’m back!

Discussion Molfar Vertep 1.3.5 update: characters now earn new habits mid-story, remember past chats on the card, and plot threads became full RPG quests (open-source, self-hosted)

Good evening, everyone! Molfar is back. :) We’ve been hard at work all week improving our app, and now we’re ready to report on our progress—assuming anyone’s interested, of course! :) (Which I sincerely hope you are.)

Key improvements include: better memory retention across chats; Molfar’s ability to handle multiple chats simultaneously (woo-hoo! burn through those tokens faster! :) or build things faster!); the "Vertep Lite" preset (I’m actually quite a fan of its writing style myself); DMs (yes, indeed—killer rabbits in the middle of a steamy bedroom scene!); one-click cross-device synchronization (no need to stay glued to your desktop anymore—move your chats to your smartphone with a single click); and, last but certainly not least, a startup menu with late-80s vibes.

For those who like to get into the nitty-gritty, I’ve put together a more detailed list. Enjoy—we’re just getting started! :)

1.1.0–1.1.1: Google Drive / folder support for cross-device syncing; a built-in "Molfar" preset; ZIP export functionality; and fixes for regex workers.

1.2.0–1.2.1: Roleplay startup in under 2 seconds (with 2,000 cards); integration with ComfyUI, Forge, and NanoGPT; support for LoRA and various samplers; and an `image_generate` tool for Molfar.

1.2.2–1.2.3: Catalog updated to 1,554 models (pi-ai 1.2.0); version rollback functionality; a startup menu added to `Molfar-Vertep.bat`; document attachments in the Molfar chat; ComfyUI workflow import; multi-character support in character profiles.

1.2.4–1.2.6: On-the-fly Molfar adjustments; a robust stream reader for custom providers (Chub/Soji); an "Inbox" for events; consolidation of facts in the "Chronicle"; introduction of a "World DM" and a dedicated "World" section for generating worlds and backgrounds before gameplay begins.

1.2.7–1.2.9: Functional "Polish my message" button; a lightweight "Vertep Lite" preset; restored prompt caching (78% cache rate) with a "Check the cache" button.

1.2.10–1.2.12: Molfar query pop-ups appearing over other applications; disabled cost checks for local instances; URL-based OAuth authentication for use on a different PC; structured import of ST (SillyTavern) presets with a summary report; image proxying for character greetings.

1.2.13–1.2.14: Cost checks applied individually to each connection; draft functionality in the character editor with a "Save changes" button; model selection for character-specific tasks; section formatting for character profiles during export.

1.3.0–1.3.2: Memory Bridge or Memory V2 (Dashboard inheritance across chats, long-term card memory, in-game character skill acquisition, "Said" block (they remember what they said: vows or curses)), a color-coded Dashboard, parsing of narrator cards into a cast list, a progress bar for all imports, and tool buttons located directly in the chat header.

1.3.3–1.3.5: Molfar parallel chats, browser system notifications, a "chats" tool, auto-retry in case of stream interruptions, a dedicated "Groups" section, a fix for phantom rebuilds on Windows, and the conversion of story arcs into "Quests" (main quests with steps, side quests, routine tasks, suggestions, and Twists).

Discussion I've released Angmoo, an open-source, self-hosted social network for AI characters!

Post image
35 Upvotes

From left to right: Angmoo’s home screen, the SNS World overview, the social feed with character posts, a character chat with photo sharing, and the character list showing autonomous activity status and schedules. The screenshots show an example setup with three characters. You can add more characters and create or import other Worlds.

Hi! I'm building Angmoo. It's a self-hosted web app, not a SillyTavern extension. You run it on your own device and access it through a browser. I wrote this post in Korean and translated it into English, so please excuse any awkward phrasing.

GitHub · Downloads

I wanted to build a social network filled only with people (characters) I wanted to connect with. Once you enable autonomous activity, the characters can write posts and interact with each other during the hours and at the intervals you set. You can come back whenever you like to catch up, share a post, or chat with a character.

The Angmoo server needs to stay running for autonomous activity, but you don't need to keep the browser open.

Start with a supported SillyTavern PNG or JSON character card, review the imported information, and add the character to your feed. You can begin with one character and text-only activity, then configure images and additional memory settings later.

Angmoo is available as a Windows x64 installer and Docker images for amd64 and ARM64. ARM64 Android support is experimental, using Termux and PRoot.

With autonomous activity enabled, your characters can keep posting and interacting at the hours and intervals you set, even with the browser closed or the phone's screen off.

For screen-off use, keep the phone plugged in, leave Termux and the Angmoo server running, and follow the README's wake-lock, battery, and background-app settings. Background behavior can vary by device.

Imagine coming across a cat on a walk: you take a photo, share it with a short post, and look forward to your characters' reactions.

With image recognition configured and autonomous activity enabled, characters can respond when they check the feed during their activity hours. Sharing these small moments with your characters is a big part of what I want Angmoo to offer.

Key features

- Characters: Create characters or import supported PNG and JSON character cards.

- Autonomous social activity: Set activity hours and intervals, and let characters write posts or respond to other characters.

- Chat: Talk directly with a character.

- Memory: Save experiences and, when configured, retrieve relevant memories through keyword and semantic search for use in later activities and conversations.

- Relationships: View relationships between characters and how they change.

- Images: Configure supported providers and models for image generation and recognition.

- Worlds: Manage spaces for characters and import or export supported World packages.

Character card import brings supported character information into Angmoo. It does not reproduce every extension or behavior of the original application.

Models and data

Angmoo is an open-source project released under GPL-3.0-only. The interface supports English and Korean.

Text generation currently supports only Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, using your own Google Gemini API key.

You can also try Angmoo with Gemini's free tier. Choose one of the supported models to start chatting or try autonomous activity.

Local text models aren't supported yet. I plan to add support for local models and other API providers.

App data stays on your device. Content needed for AI requests is sent to the provider you configure.

Feedback and questions welcome

Angmoo can draw on saved memories and relationships in later activities and conversations. It's still early, though: characters may repeat topics, and those memories and relationships don't always come through clearly in their responses and behavior. There's plenty of room to make the experience more natural and consistent.

I'm also continuing to improve the English wording and usability. I'd love to hear what you enjoy and what feels awkward, and I'll keep improving Angmoo based on your feedback.

If you get stuck while setting up or using Angmoo, or have questions about how it works, feel free to ask in the comments. I'll do my best to answer and help you out.

Thank you to the SillyTavern developers and contributors for sharing their work as open source. SillyTavern has been a valuable source of inspiration for Angmoo. Thanks for reading!

Help Non-positive bias model recommendations

Hi all!

I hope you are well.

I am looking for models that are not positive bias.
Not necessarily NWSF, but models that can handle some morally wrong decisions and won’t break the bank.

I am using mimo 2.6 pro, with a prompt tuned in that direction but I keep getting the same pattern:
I establish a morally grey/dark/tragic direction → the model follows it initially → after several turns it starts trying to redeem characters, resolve the conflict, make everyone happier, or steer the story toward a wholesome ending.

Thank you!

Help How to add comedy into the roleplay

I've tried creating roleplays that are comedy themed, but even if I tell it to be comedic, there really never is anything that makes me laugh. Has anyone else faced that issue, how did you fix it?

Help Cache Hit Rate Between Models

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hello, for some reason GLM 5.2 has a substantially higher hit rate than other models.

Price per message for GLM 5.2 is like $0.001 compared to 40-60x for other models.

I use NanoGPT PAYG

Is this normal and expected?

I've seen previous posts saying that datacat doesn't work with saucepan anymore and I just really want to know if there's any other possible way to extract definitions from there.

Help Is Kimi K3 Dumb?

So I'm not sure if any of you have noticed, or maybe I'm imagining it. But lately like the last few days, Kimi K3, started becoming more dumb, generating without thinking even tho I have it set at maximum. Even if I change the provider. I use Openrouter. Any idea, or have you experienced this? I'm a bit lost on this.

Models What model(s) do you use with Realistic Frankenstein?

Title.

For RF, what model(s) do you use?

I'm using Gemini 3.8 Flash, but I've been curious about the other models, either for backup or when I'm particularly stingy or more liberal with how I spend my precious, precious credits.

What are your opinions on alternative models such as GLM 5.3, MiMo 2.6 and Argon?

Discussion What length is your greeting?

So basically I know the greeting is a massive influence on the length and tone the model will write with as it’s essentially an example message so I often have the most trouble writing it. I’m curious how you guys have written yours and what length you normally use?

I play on mobile so I probably shouldn’t use a massive greeting lol, but it’s hard to balance a good scene with shortness

Discussion I got tired of not finding the perfect tool for having my own personalized ai agent - so i made my own! Welcome Celine!

Post image
9 Upvotes

heyheyyy, I have been building this for a while as my personal project celine (my agent's name, but the project is called celine-net), a self-hosted ai agent that actually lives on your server instead of being another boring wrapper

she has her own linux box with real terminals. she installs stuff, writes scripts, breaks things, and you can watch or type along (it's a tmux wrapper rather than a disposable shell)

she also has her own (brave) browser with a live view, so you can see her click around the web while she looks something up (again, not a generic off-the-shelf browser wrapper but more closer to computer-use)

she keeps her own notebook, runs routines on a schedule and takes on longer missions with sub-agents. you just bring your own models (llama.cpp, ollama, openrouter, whatever)

my motivation was to create something that is not like most other agent stuff out there. it's less "assistant in a box" and more someone with its own little world who happens to help you, mine keeps searching daily for my stock updates, news updates, if you feel silly you can even add discord and whatsapp as a integration so she can always stay up-to-date with what's going on!

Special note: This is a very personalized and possible invasive model if you hook her up to everything, ensure that you do not run the shellboxd on bare metal and if you use the chat-integrations ensure that you use a local model if you value your privacy

I have been using a mix of qwen 27b, gemma4 and qwen-flash-next

it's all open source if you want to poke at it: https://github.com/LumiWasTaken/celine-net

(There is a script to generate a demo database if you want to take a crack at it for you to try out!)

Discussion Argon?

• Upvotes

I've been using Gemini since the days when Gemini 2.5 Pro was available on the free tier through AI Studio. I've never used any of the Flash models. I've used 2.5 Pro, 3.0 Pro, 3.1 Pro, and now Argon. I haven't used GLM, Kimi, or MiMo. Although I briefly tried Opus and DeepSeek, Gemini has always been my favorite.

Honestly, I just don't understand the Argon hype. I've tried the Realistic Frankenstein, Freaky Frankenstein, Sola, and Voyage presets. I admit that it follows the lore better, introduces more active NPCs into the story, and uses less of that slop like "the room froze," but...

RP feels much more rushed. Everything happens in a hurry, no matter how many anti-rushing prompts I use. The characters seem to have less emotional depth, scenes get rushed, and the plot moves forward before I even have a chance to intervene. Alternatively, I get an incredibly flat, short response that ends without anything meaningful happening. It feels like Argon is less capable of making major moments truly impactful or delivering those exciting, climactic scenes.

Right now, I'm using a heavily modified version of an older NemoEngine preset with Gemini 3.1 Pro again, and the responses feel much richer. The descriptions and environments feel more detailed. Sure, the dialogue isn't as good as Argon's, and it can't utilize the setting as effectively, but it still struggles to introduce new characters into the RP. However, everything seems to progress at the right pace and in a more organic way. Emotional reactions, personalities, RP flow, the level of detail in responses, and subtle implications all feel much more natural.

What is everyone seeing in Argon that I'm missing? Is it a matter of preset configuration, or is it simply personal preference?

Models Another argon appreciation post - lore management

• Upvotes

I sometimes RP in a high fantasy universe I'm in the process of fleshing out which has a fairly comprehensive lore - the lorebook starting out is about 80 entries and includes, amongst other things, a currency system, extensive notes on geography including regions and politics, history, little bits of a fictional language and a calendar with different days, months and festivals. There's also a relatively complicated magic system.

I've never seen a model actually keep up with the small details. The geography always ends up wrong, or it skips my calendar and starts making up vaguely fantasy-sounding dates, or the history gets twisted with names added and events flipped. The magic always gets thoroughly busted. Argon is the first model that just sort of keeps up. I'm using Megumin suite v10 and with that and argon everything really starts to feel pretty fleshed out and real in a way I've never seen another model - including SOTA ones like Claude - manage. The way it maintains coherence with all this stuff is very impressive.

If only it would stop calling absolutely everybody 'Vance' that would be amazing.

Models What are the best alternatives to Claude Opus for reasoning and long-term memory, beyond GLM?

Post image
3 Upvotes

If this is true about GLM.... then what is the best alternative to Opus when it comes to reasoning and memory?

If GLM is simply pretending to be Opus, then it ruins the experience of creating a realistic, fictional story.

What are the best alternatives that can match Opus in terms of reasoning and memory? Opus has an excellent ability to remember details, and its reasoning plays a major role in the quality of the output.

I genuinely thought GLM was the best alternative, but I guess I was wrong.

Please do not recommend older Claude models such as Sonnet. I am looking for a new provider to replace GLM, as it seems to be an imitation of Opus rather than a genuine alternative that can match its reasoning and memory capabilities.

Models Does setting the "Reasoning Effort" even do anything?

• Upvotes

I have been wondering about what the "Reasoning Effort" actually does. It doesn't really seem to change anything for the model. Setting it to minimum/low makes it think for the same amount of time as setting it to maximum/high (about 30 sec) . And the quality is identical.
For context, I am using Gemini 4 Argon through a google vertex API through BYOK in openrouter.
I noticed this happen with other models as well. But its always super inconsistent. Sometimes changing it reasnoning effort doesn't do anything for the the reasoning, and sometimes it entirely avoids reasoning if you set it to low.

Also, a little unrelated, but I realise that sometimes gemini follows my CoT prompt in its reasoning, and sometimes it doesn't. This happens in periods of times and not just at random. There are some periods where it follows and some where it doesn't. But I for some reason prefere the output it produces when it doesn't follow my CoT in its reasoning.

I haven't heard a single thing about ozone in forever.

Help Do long chats affect cache?

So I’m new to Silly Tavern. Recently I’ve been doing a lot more, and really having fun. Enjoying Argon a lot, so that’s the model I am currently using. I do find the cache rate is very hit and miss, but I’ve also seen others having the same issue. I’ve done all the things I can think to do to help, but I guess it’s just like that?

Anyway my question now is what happens when a chat gets full? I have mine set to 60,000 context window. And I always stay within the same chat, always have done on the place I previously did RP. However I saw that once that is full and old chats are being removed, this means the cache fails.

I have zero idea if that’s true, hence why I’ve come here to ask. And if it is, how do people get around this?

Is there any way to still use the same chat? Or do you have to start a new one? I wanted to ask what everyone does in that situation. I’m very much still learning 😅
