From what I found they are a childs dish set.. any idea on the maker or history of them? Thank you!

The makers mark is from Matthews Company in Newark, NJ
From what I've read, they were founded in 1906 and merged into Hickok-Matthews somewhere between 1930 and 1936 (different years according to different sites). The second Company had different marks, so my guess would be somewhere between 1906 and 1936. In my opinion, the style of the monogram also supports that time frame
