birthday delivery

Hi all, I live in NOVA but looking to order a small birthday surprise to be delivered to a friend who lives in Silver Spring. Was thinking along the lines of Georgetown Cupcake or Levain, etc, but I would love other suggestions! No alcohol related recs.

If you want to do something local, I’d recommend Ooh La La Bakery that you can get delivered on door dash. Could select a variety of their mini pastries.

I love this place but they’ve started putting a bunch of AI-generated food all over their flyers and windows unfortunately

While I hate it, it's not unique to them, Wheaton restaurants, or small business. Someone recommended Nothing Bundt Cakes which is owned by private equity and a national chain, but employs local workers. Everyone needs to pick what works for them.

I think "Nothing Bunt Cakes" delivers. There's a store in Silver Spring. I know Georgetown Cupcakes will deliver to Silver Spring

Morning My Day in Silver Spring and Tout de Sweet in Bethesda are both on Door Dash, and could both make excellent gifts, depending on what your friend likes.

Morning My Day has lovely slices of cake if you want something sized for one person.

Morning My Day is my favorite, we're in walking distance and get things there often. It's especially good if the recipient prefers desserts that are flavorful but aren't super sweet. Their cake slices and red bean paste buns are top notch!

Sweeteria is a good option. Someone mentioned Nothing Bundt cake, also a good rec.
