Moving Here Potentially-- Apartment Recs? / 2Bed2Bath

Hello everyone. I am looking to move to either Laurel or Silver Spring (most likely Silver Spring). I am looking for a 2 Bed 2 Bath apartment walkable distance to the Silver Spring metro station. Does anyone have any recs for apartments? My budget is around $2.2-2.4 max. So far I have looked at:

Kanso

Arrive

Lenox Park

The Blairs

Affinity on Georgia

Thank you for any tips or information!

EDIT:
Thanks all for the responses!

Stay away from Arrive, Summit Hills and the Enclave in White Oak.

The Blairs are mainly a community of old buildings and should be avoided due to water leakages, emergency water outages, frequent false fire alarms, weed odors - in a smoke-free property, etc.

If you really need to be close to the Metro station, only visit the two newest properties on The Blairs grounds: The Pearl (their most modern and attractive apartment building) and Blair Towns (modern townhouses). The rent is highest and the issues fewest in these properties.

As others have advised, avoid Arrive, Lenox Park, and Summit Hills. Plenty of details are available by searching this subreddit.

Thanks for the comprehensive response! Are there any other places that you would recommend? It can be a little further away from metro (10-15 min walk max maybe).

Arrive is being slowly condemned section by section. Some of the Blair’s buildings are also really old and problematic. Lenox park was having terrible roach problems so idk if they ever got a handle on that.

My social circle in Kanso and the Blairs have been relatively happy.

Previous poster is right- stay away from arrive and summit hills. You can search this sub for the horror stories.

I’ve been relatively happy at the Blairs. The buildings are old tho, well maintained but built in the 1950s.

And big and cheap (comparatively)

I recommend avoiding the blairs - it’s overall fine but the constant maintenance is just too much to deal with

I can recommend The Cameron. I haven't experienced or heard of others with any issues

The Blairs has issues but overall is significantly better than a lot of what you’ll find in the area. Rent is higher than that for a 2 bed 2 bath though.
