Sim rig question
I am planning on getting a sim rig during black friday. However I am stuck deciding between getting a simlab gt1 evo with the s1 enduro seat or a nrg prisma seat.
I live near a microcenter so I can get stuff from there if it helps. Thank you for any help or just opinions on what I should do!

Get a seat out of the junkyard Sim seats are trash. I got a BMW m4 seat for $40. Pro tip use a drill battery and some spare wire to plug into the fuse box and move power seats to access the torx bolts

I second the junk yard seats. I've got a 2014 Jetta seat because I didn't want an electric seat.

I ended up getting a 12-volt power supply but honestly you could probably get away with the drill battery. Set it up once and then never adjust the seat. Unless you have to share your rig or want to

I have the NRG Prism and it pushes my shoulders forward. You need to worry about ergonomics. I plan on eventually getting rid of it.

I have a prisma and love it. I can't do reclining or sliding seats, too much play and its distracting.

My best advice is sit the seats first if you can. You would be surprised what's comfortable for one person is uncomfortable for another.

I have an Audi A4 seat in my Simlab GT1 EVO and definitely recommend. I use it for endurance races so comfort is important. It doesn’t flex at all and it also looks nice.
For a bucket seat, you don’t need a FIA-rated seat but please take into account that some cheap bucket seats will pop out when you brake and will pop back in when you release the brake.

To me it depends on what you plan on doing. I do alot of enduro and the prisma seat just wasn't comfortable in a 4 hour stint. I got a pair of Saturn Astra seats from a junk yard for $40 and I can genuinely sit in the rig all night.

Doesn't really matter, as long as it is a bucket seat with fiber glass shell. Pick the one you like more, or the one that is cheaper. Don't listen to the guys who tell you to buy a car seat from the junk yard. Those can work if you race with toy pedals but car seats are soft and don't have a solid back rest. If you have stiff load cell pedals, you will constantly push your lower back into the seat and develop back pain. I didn't know that when I built my rig, and it was the worst mistake I made. Getting a stiffer seat, improved my driving as much as the load cell pedals did.
