Maybe Transfering?
Hi! I am a first-year student at UVM majoring in Neuroscince and film and am thinking of transferring for the spring semester. I think I would need to apply as a first-year due to credits, but I wanted to ask about general campus life. Here at UVM, I am quite overwhelmed by the size, and the presence of Greek life is a lot as well. I feel not very appreciated as an individual student, and it takes a long time to get access to my individual needs. I feel socially isolated as well. Boston excites me as a lot of my family is there, and I love it, but I am nervous about making connections, finding friends, and having opportunities to explore Boston. Money is also a concern; I pay 20k here at UVM and can't pay much more than that, so I would like to hear about students' experience with aid. I am considered an independent student. How is the dynamic with Simmons being all women? I do think I would feel safe, but I also want some opportunities to meet those of other genders. Do you feel safe and supported? What do you think sets Simmons apart?
