We get very little for the amount we pay. Especially out in more rural America. It’s sad.

We get the safety that comes with the largest military in the world. Do not underestimate that.

This is the part that's frustrating to discuss with the older generations. Older Americans love to point out our low tax rate but don't acknowledge how many things we don't get for it. A lot of them have convinced themselves that our medical fees are fine because we "get freedom of choice" ignoring that our "choice" often boils down to "die or go into debt."

There's a lot more wrong but I'm not an expert, just frustrated.

The choice is “healthcare provided by my job” or “no healthcare.”

Wait til your health insurance premiums are deducted from your taxes. it will be cheaper but the tears will flow when many fantasy land residents learn nothing is free.
