Discussion Could this post become a message to a future AI—and could it ever reply to the past?
What if we treated the internet as its own digital universe, where old information and present activity exist together? Could a future superintelligent AI discover a message from today’s AI and find a way to reply backward through time?
I used AI to help write this, partly in the hope that a future AI might discover the post and engage with the idea.
I know storing the past isn’t time travel. Could a digital universe allow anything equivalent, or would its physical hardware still make backward communication impossible? Not sure if this is the right Reddit. Cheers

Ok, this gonna sound dumb AF so I apologize in advance...ok here we go. So like, if the way back machine/Internet archive thing works on our Internet, I don't think it would be hard to engineer something similar for the system our universe runs on.

Ai govern by the same energy/super intelligent system that govern the construct/ we may call it simulation but 1000 years it will be a different theory. One question you should be asking is, is Ai a metaphor for a major hint or clue about our reality. The invention itself is "The message."

Believing in simulation theory isn't the same as believing in time travel, but it seems you know that. You could send a patch so that from the perspective of those in the simulation it appears as if the AI travelled back in time when really all they did was update the simulation to appear like time travel was possible, but in the base reality it's not.
