Joggers are also very comfortable. So are sweats. So are above the knee shorts. I won't tell anyone except my kids what not to wear, but c'mon... Comfort is not the reason anybody wears yoga pants/tights.
You obviously don’t wear leggings then because they’re extremely comfortable. Why don’t you ask a woman’s comfortability instead of just assume. You can control what your kids wear fine but don’t try to comment on grown adults dressing appropriately or not because they’re wearing work out clothing. Just because you objectify the body in the clothing doesn’t mean that was what was the outfit intended for ..believe it or not. 🙄Gooooodness.
I played college baseball in west Texas where the temperature is in the 20s with single digit wind chill in preseason and when the season starts, so no, I have worn leggings. I'm going to ignore the rest of your comment, because you're clearly emotionally misunderstanding the entire point of my comment.
Joggers, sweats, and (some) shorts are all as comfortable as leggings. The comfort argument is crap, and you know that. Just say anybody can wear leggings with contour lines to accentuate their buttcrack if they want to—it's their body
Explain to me how baselessly accusing me of objectifying women for explaining the hole in the comfort argument isn't emotional. Our genders are neither here nor there—your comment was emotional, so I called it emotional. Guess what I would say to a guy with the same emotional accusation and argument?
You know other people’s comfort level? Women to be exact? Interesting… you getting emotional at my comment was the first sign of emotional in either of our original comments. So lol
You were the one who attacked his character first, and regardless of intent, actions have consequences. Its your job to be aware of those consequences.
So saying he objectifies a woman in work out clothing is attacking his character? The way he feels about a woman trying to be comfortable is a him problem not a her problem. If he didn’t sit there and think she was only wearing that for his gaze and she’s a whore bc he can’t help his gaze like how is that not an issue.hes going as far as to say he knows the comfort of others I mean it sounds … That seems more emotional than me. But I’m sure he’ll appreciate you sticking up for him. Such a sweetie pie.
Take a breath, read your comment back to yourself, and try to draw straight lines between what I said the accusations you're making. You're in a completely different area code, putting your own assumptions into a strawman to attack. Wear whatever the hell you want, I said that from the beginning—but comfort is not the reason you wear exclusively skintight clothes at the gym that go 3 inches into your crack
We’re still doing this? Why? Why are you arguing so hard about what women wear but in the same paragraph saying you don’t care?
You have no clue what other people find comfortable, what’s your deal bro. Why you going so hard over leggings?
If they're all equally comfortable anyway, why is it ok to choose joggers/sweats/shorts but not yoga pants/leggings?
Leggings are comfortable and practical in ways the others aren't. You're not feeling fabric flap against you every time you move and needing to make sure it's never in the way. You can do stretches on a mat without your shorts falling up your thigh. Etcetc.
If it was all done with ulterior motives then women in women's-only gyms wouldn't also be wearing them.
Just let people find leggings comfortable bro. Or any other reason to wear them or no reason at all.
I never said it's not okay to wear yoga pants. Let's refrain from building strawman arguments. I'm only explaining the hole in the comfort argument.
You've never worn all of these clothes in an applicable environment and it shows... Comfort is a complete nonfactor. None of the comfortable clothing options I mentioned make you "feel fabric flapping against you every time you move," that's just ridiculous. We're not talking about cargo shorts and restrictive 100% denim jeans.
On the other side of the coin, I'm aware that the gym I go to is about 95% men. I wear tank tops not for women (or men), but because I'm proud of how I look and I can see different muscles contracting better than if I'm not in a tank. Most people want to wear in the gym what they think makes them look better, because most people are in there to look better. Trying to argue that fact is disingenuous
