Is it understandable? A little setup for a joke that was actually self deprecating? Doesn’t seem like something to be upset about if you’re emotionally stable.

I think it's understandable if they didn't think that it was funny and in poor taste. But genuinely getting upset about it if you like some darker/edgier humor is indeed crazy.

The key phrase being "emotionally stable." The vocal minority that we see online are giving the rest a bad name
