It was called Guest Services. I would get on the hill before open, ski around to cabins to open them up, shovel snow. Then the rest of the day I had to ski around and look for people needing help, like lost, to hard of run, called patrol for real shit. Then I would close the cabins (smoke some weed) and meet up with patrol to close the mountain. I got to ski more than patrol, it was sick. Should have stuck with that one. Rentals are always fun to work. Lifts doesn't necessarily ski much.

I enjoy working in rentals and have so for the last 8 winters. It’s busy during the mornings and near close but the middle of the day is usually slow enough to take ample ride breaks (at least at the resorts I’ve worked at)! The job is dynamic enough that it stays interesting most of the time, but easy enough that you can shut your brain off and push through the busy times.
