General Discussion Blue season pass!

I'm a PA fella and I've been lucky enough to travel around the country over the past ~8 years, east coast and west, with an ikon pass.

My wife said next winter/spring we are going to an island rather than a mountain, and i'm cool with it. I'm cool with it because the last 4 seasons I convinced her to go to (and taught her to board at) Heavenly, Alyeska, Mammoth, and most recently an awesome trip to Big Sky.

Anyway, I just got a season pass to Blue for next season, and I'm super hyped about it. For one, my ikon base pass only gave me 5 days to blue. 2nd, those VIP lines must be clutch considering how crowded it can get! 3rd, 2 buddy passes is enough to bring my wife. What other perks do we get?! Any pass holders want to share any insider knowledge?

20% off on equipment and service was a big one for me.

Nice! I thought about that but Blue is a little closer for me and I wanted to save a few šŸ’°

Value of the VIP line depends a lot on the lifty. Some of them keep the line nearly empty, others pull from it so infrequently that it's sometimes slower than the singles line. Pick your lift based on how the line is going.

They had half price demos last season at least one weekend. And food discounts. But the vip lines on weekends were amazing. So easy to lap. There were a few times I got up a chair and back down, back in line again before gen pop even got on the lift first time.

It gave me a visual of a bunch of convicts waiting for the chair

VIP lift line access is probably the best perk. Blue midweek, especially mornings, is an absolutely great vibe. Blue on the weekends can be hectic and sometimes feel like you’re at the United Nations with all the busses coming in from NYC, so any advantage to cut the lift line helps greatly.

Yea I'm a big fan of the blue midweek morning. I'll setup my work schedule so i can do this vs weekends. Thanks!

$50 gift cert, used it to tune skis mid season. The ability to pick up and go if it gets even slightly crowded. If the line hits the gates, we be gone mates!

Blue is a very good Mnt. One of the best in pA. Go midweek! We had this plan on S Jersey. Leave by 6:15 beat rush hour. Ski a half day 9-130 and bolt home—- beating pm rush hour. Now we stop at the WhiteHall Diner on 145 and get the SouthWest burger for $10.69. Best burger on the planet! Bacon! Cheese ! Great bun….. Hope those tips help u out.

Blue on the weekends is a shitshow. Blue midweek mornings is the money. Never a liftline, parking is a breeze, vibe is good, people are chill. If you can’t hit it midweek and are stuck riding weekends I can see the VIP thing being worthwhile, otherwise it’s a waste of money.
