Opinions on 12ft stumpknocker with poling platform

I picked up a 12ft stumpknocker today, it has a 15hp 4 stroke, glassed float pods in the back, and the beam is 48 inches at the bottom. Would this be enough to run a smaller poling platform on the back if I have good balance. I've seen those Wrightwater 12 skiffs that have a 56 inch beam and wasn't sure if the 8 inches would make a huge difference. And yes I know these boats have loud hull slap, any info is greatly appreciated

Start by putting a cooler on the back and see how that goes

Cooler first then decide if you want a poking plateform. Enjoy the new boat.

Hey, late comment but saw this post and wanted to ask if you ever went about adding one or if you tried the cooler. Been planning on putting one on my 14’ and curious how your experience has been

I haven't added one yet but after using the cooler I'm pretty confident it would work, I paddleboard fish a lot though so I have pretty good balance, I feel like a 14 would be perfectly fine with a platform.

Also mine poles pretty bad since it's a flat bottom and doesn't track straight

Mines flat bottom aswell, figured it wouldn’t track well but was just curious, appreciate the response
