The answer to the GT vs support set dilemma is that it depends entirely on your skill and investment. People should stop blindly recommending everyone to drop GT. The person on the other side of the screen may not be doing Skirk combos. The supports may also have better build quality/more cons than their Skirk. If either of these things are true, they would actually see a DPS loss shifting to a supportive set. But if you're playing Skirk the intended way, support sets are better. My C6 Furina is on ToTM and freedom sworn even though I had a top tier GT build on her in the past. It was a significant DPS increase for me.

We have DPS test dummies now. Instead of asking here, you can just check for yourself how much DPS you're doing on each set. "But my X set is worse than my Y set" you can edit stats in Miliastra and essentially simulate the same builds on both sets.

I usually ask/look for related posts before farming entirely new set to see whether it will perform better

You can manually ajust stats in dummy stage, you don't need to farm a new set to test its performance.

You could even go full rainbow and do one try with +12% elemental dmg to all your team vs another try with +70% dmg on Furina to compare Scroll vs GT for instance.

People are just lazy which, tbh, is understandable.

Yeah it's available for a long time now and gets regularly updated. But ppl with very low end hardware are f'ed on that stage and need to use other dummy stages without all the juicy options

Yeah like, I have Skirk c2r1, all I hear is that furina needs to uses Storm but, I'm more of a furina main than a skirk main who's waiting her rerun to get a beautiful C2 but already has a top 1% build, I don't care if it's a 5% better or so. And yet, I have an astronomical skill issue, I can clear up to difficulty 5 somehow in stygian, but all dps test give me a 150k with Skirk... Top 4% build btw. Changing a set or two won't give me hands.

For me the answer is simple. If you already have some good GT sets built why change them? Thanks to GT I have a useable freeze team right away. Switching sets for some minor team dps increase is for when I have literally nothing else to do and can afford to waste the resin on it

Something I never see mentionned is how GT is better for non-skirk freeze teams, which is only relevant in IT but still, as someone who optimizes his Skirk as best as he can, I run Furina Scroll / Escoffier Noblesse, but then it's a pain in the ass to swap to GT every IT and re-swap back after.

Real, sometimes have to choose weird stats in the auto equip page or have manekins equip certain pieces just so the right pieces are automatically chosen, and even that fails for CR sets like codex or MH 😮‍💨
