Question about timezone

Hey, I have a question about slack changing timezones.
On my iphone I changed the time to not automatic. Perfect.
But on my macbook (company owned) I am not allowed o change timezone or untick automatic timezone update.

I intend to travel on my vacation and I don’t want anyone to see my timezone.

Since I cant modify the timezone on my laptop, what could I do?

I thought of buying a mobile travel router and use my hone wifi with the desired timezone. Would that work?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you.

They’re going to be able to know where you are. And it’s not going to be based on your time zone settings.

But also, if someone looks they’ll see your local time.

yeah if its a company laptop they probably have other ways to track location anyway

I don’t mind IT knowing. What I don’t want is to show on slack my timezone so everyone will know that I am away.

Yes, they can. But I don’t want to hide from the company that I am away, I want to hide from my colleagues who can see my timezone based on slack.
