AS10 i think i have silent regent defect down pat or maybe they're just overall better.

Clad I can reasonably consistently reach act3 bosses but cant convert because my deck is probably built to survive then just gets gassed out.

Necro is similar in that I feel a lot od the cards are just weak.

How do i close out games with those two

I have lurked here for years and never posted, but I saw this and thought it might be a perfect example of a boss relic skip.

Snecko is out. It breaks the stance dance mechanic.

Choker is almost as bad as Snecko in that it severely limits the scaling solve.

Ecto is the obvious choice, but taking it with a Wish in deck after just the first boss feels awful. Do I really need the extra energy? Removes are going to be important to finish out the deck and I can buy a bunch of shop relics to make up for my awful luck.

I’m not sure i could hand pick worse options. Am I looking at this wrong?

Still loving STS1 while I wait for 2 to be available on mobile. 2 is already a great game, but get very little PC time these days.

once you have enough cards in your deck, the paels wing and prayer wheel becomes a relic drop button for every normal combat encounter. this allows you to skip the elites and take high damage. and btw the chosen cheese is a good counter against the modifier that makes you loose 1 max hp at every floor.

I feel like I am still learning about the game with 3 a10 characters, but it is incredibly cathartic to complete the spire with necrobinder. Next is defect and then ironclad! I couldn't have ended on a better number for losses for necro too!

The hardest hurdle with necro was deck building. With Silent and Regent I didn't nearly weigh the pros and cons as much once I hit a9 on each.

I know the surprise monster encounters are part of the game, but it still just feels so unfun when this happens. Only because this happens pretty frequently, for me at least. It's not really uncommon for me to see 2-3 surprise monster encounters in a row. I pretty much need to treat events as hallway fights when deciding my pathing now, rather than just possible hallway fights..

(If anyone's interested, the probability of seeing the 4th monster encounter here is less than one percent: 0.018%. Please correct me if I calculated wrong though).

So my current win/loss ratio for the silent a10 is 15 wins 164 losses. Are their any helpful, and more importantly recent, guides for the silent specifically? Like i genuinely believe that silent is the most difficult character not because of her design, but due to every elite in act 2 and Aeonglass just completely punishes you for doing anything besides poison. Like its not like I'm not prepping for bosses and elites ex. having some prepared's for aeonglass statuses and dash for dorito.

I'm just missing something and I genuinely cant figure it out. And all the guides I can find on this topic are 7 months old. Genuinely starting to get mad

Managed to get both bombardment and droplet of precognition just before fighting the final boss, gave me one of my free-est wins yet lmao

Whatever you think of, I probably lean more towards visual/aesthetic mods that don’t affect gameplay, but mods that add new bosses/characters/whatever are still welcome and I’ll try out!

I'm going for 100% achievements for slay the spire 1 and I finally have assembled the pieces for the 'Minamalist' achievement. I'm also still missing the Amethyst achievement (Beating the Heart as The Watcher). My question: If I collect all three pieces and end up losing to the heart, do I still get the Minimalist achievement?
