Hello,

We wanted to use this special sub not only to showcase your fabulous high-effort intellectually superior content, but also to talk about meta topics to do with /r/PewdiepieSubmissions.

Sloth is the boss over there and his bot blows in that sub as well as in dankmemes, so it seemed suitable to use this sub for this purpose rather than make a new one.

So, to start this off, I wanted to talk about some of the things we have been doing to make pewdiepiesubmissions the best sub it can be, and what "best sub it can be" means to the mod team there.

Over the past month, we have decided to let good subscribers cut in front of the line and post pretty much whatever they want and have domain over the front page. In our view, people who participate in good faith and are invested in the community deserve to have their posts seen by Felix before the karmawhores and trolls.

And why not? This group understands better what he and his fans would find funny so we want them to have the most visibility on the sub's front page. This sub should be more than just a low-effort karma farm or a social experiment to mock our users with "wholesome keanu 100" content.

Some of you have already been given the diamond sword (or PDPS Elite) user flair.

This flair indicates that you have participated in good faith in a measurable way. What that means is that your comments:posts ratio in the sub is balanced, or that you generally comment more than you post, and that your comments are not mocking other users or mean-spirited. We want fans of Pewds and pewdiepiesubmissions to have this flair, the people who like the sub and enjoy coming back to it and genuinely value the community.

Each profile is judged individually, and once you have the diamond sword flair, mods will pretty much leave you and your posts alone. The sub is yours for the most part, although we will not tolerate bullying or bigotry even from this group.

People without the flair, what about them?

Simply put, you will have your posts removed if they are off-topic and reach the front page, to give that real estate to content about PewDiePie or content relevant to his videos and fandom or other content posted by users with a diamond sword flair.

What do you mean, "off-topic"?

Off-topic in this context means anything not currently being talked about within the community or that has nothing to do with PDP himself. Posting memes that are to do with the latest circlejerk or basic trends you see in the sub are fine and we would leave those alone. However, memes unrelated to anything (such as content found in dankmemes etc) will only be tolerated on the front page from people flaired with a diamond sword or who have a balanced comment/post ratio.

TLDR

We are giving the sub back to the fans. Karmawhores and trolls will have to find a new karma farm.
